If you are going to suspend all manner of logic and common sense in approaching skate rental (and history shows that you definitely are) at least do me the courtesy of asking me for skate advice, not your just as dumb/uninformed companion. You'd think by the fourth time you're back up at the counter, you'd start listening to me and not the guy who's wearing what appears to be a solid plastic bauer skate with inner lime green sock/boot. (ie, a rollerblade with fixed skate blade, weirdest thing I've seen in a while.)

Situations like that, I would have led with "banned by USA hockey, refs will not allow your son to play." Some people can't get past the "won't happen to me" idea, even if it's their child.

I like the pivoting." - *Shooting his mouth off about his roommate at U of Wisconsin back in the early 90s.* "Yeah, I think these *pulls out Dolomite* were his favorite brand, he always had these, but he liked the wood ones." Where do these people come from?

Completely unrelated second rant, facebook and twitter are awash with posts about how Crosby is a pussy for not being ready to start the season because he's still having concussion related issues. I just love the idea that you can toughen up your brain somehow, like Crosby should have been in the gym doing his brain curls and brain lifts...

After a summer with a really crappy, sporadic job, I move back into the city my college is in to return to my old job at the local rink. All in one day I find that I got passed over for a promotion, they hired an extra person so we have 3 people running the pro shop, not 2, which will cut into my hours, and because the two other pro shop people are new they need to be trained, so I only have one 8 hour shift for the next three weeks. To add to that, the faculty at my university is considering striking, and they vote tomorrow. There is a possibility the fall term gets cancelled, which would mean I lose my student loans, which is where my rent comes from, leaving me with an expensive apartment, no loans, a semester off of school, a job I don't get enough work from, and a job market flooded by students also looking for a new job in an all ready tapped job market.

The new dog is an escape artist. Everytime we bolster up his pen a little more, he finds another way out. Like any good career criminal, he likes to leave his calling card to let me know he's won. Its not so bad when its on the cement floor, but when he leaves it on a couch...

I would think the drug problem lessens the value in a pool, even if she was very young.

You've gotta realize. First he has to walk ALL THE WAY to the section. Then, he has to remember what you want. If he doesn't, repeat #1. Then he has to read. Then walk back to the phone and hope he doesn't forget what he just read. If he forgets, the whole thing starts over. Its a messy process. I don't even bother calling the bigger LHS's anymore because the info is never reliable.

The worst part about working with fiberglass insulation is that it looks exactly like my arm hair and is thus much harder to remove.

I have a pair of retail Canadiens colored ones, and they're great. Their is more room in the wrist on the AK's than the franchise.

If I can customize an OPS to look like the original AK27, I'm in. Not at all original, I know, but that gold and the simple graphics always got me.

I have a simple setup I'd like to do on a pair of franchises, I'm curious if anyone has ever seen it done or done it. Basically, its the Edmonton Oilers gloves, only in different colors. Will Warrrior do the fingers and cuff a color roll different from the other parts of the glove? The only way to do it on the customizer seems to be to also have a side panel on the index finger, and I don't want that.
