    Completely unrelated second rant, facebook and twitter are awash with posts about how Crosby is a pussy for not being ready to start the season because he's still having concussion related issues. I just love the idea that you can toughen up your brain somehow, like Crosby should have been in the gym doing his brain curls and brain lifts...

    After a summer with a really crappy, sporadic job, I move back into the city my college is in to return to my old job at the local rink. All in one day I find that I got passed over for a promotion, they hired an extra person so we have 3 people running the pro shop, not 2, which will cut into my hours, and because the two other pro shop people are new they need to be trained, so I only have one 8 hour shift for the next three weeks. To add to that, the faculty at my university is considering striking, and they vote tomorrow. There is a possibility the fall term gets cancelled, which would mean I lose my student loans, which is where my rent comes from, leaving me with an expensive apartment, no loans, a semester off of school, a job I don't get enough work from, and a job market flooded by students also looking for a new job in an all ready tapped job market.

    The new dog is an escape artist. Everytime we bolster up his pen a little more, he finds another way out. Like any good career criminal, he likes to leave his calling card to let me know he's won. Its not so bad when its on the cement floor, but when he leaves it on a couch...

    I have a pair of retail Canadiens colored ones, and they're great. Their is more room in the wrist on the AK's than the franchise.

    I have a simple setup I'd like to do on a pair of franchises, I'm curious if anyone has ever seen it done or done it. Basically, its the Edmonton Oilers gloves, only in different colors. Will Warrrior do the fingers and cuff a color roll different from the other parts of the glove? The only way to do it on the customizer seems to be to also have a side panel on the index finger, and I don't want that.

    Took a little risk on these, kid on PHEW posted them but I couldnt resist for the price ($50) and decided to take a shot. Luckily, it wasn't too good to be true, and to cap it off, they have digital palms, which I've been hoping to try for a while.

    Most surprising pick of the draft by far, congrats to him. In related news, it is unbelievable that the Lions get to send Ndamokung Suh and Nick Fairley at QB's now. I think the line can seriously be as good as the '03 Bucs or the '07 Giants, the type of lines that can carry a team to a Championship, knock on wood.

    Vandals broke into the rink after closing on Saturday, or else hid while we closed up, then went around and broke a bunch of windows, stole money from the register, and sprayed fire extinguishers. We stayed closed on Sunday, but opened up today, going through the schedule as planned. Which means I now have 40 kids aged 4-9 running around in the lobby, protected from broken glass and a coating of extinguisher dust by some benches and caution tape.
