I've seen it around here too...I hate the look. Ghetto.
-
close... a 50mm f/1.8 Nikon(series E from about 20 yrs ago), the 1.4 is too baller for me They take great pics of equipment though. No joke....the DOF is amazing. I still want to pick up a macro lens though eventually because I love macrophotography :)
-
Slightly OT - was that pic shot with a 50mm 1.4 lens? If so, I just got that lens the other day (Canon). :) Goddamn I love that Navy/White/Red color scheme.....awesome gloves, man.
-
Jeff, where did you get the Doughty game used??
-
Looks like Mustang to me. My pro stock Easton Rycrofts had the same looking palms at one point and they were Mustang.
-
Looks like the CCM logo had some white in it that he colored green and red.
-
Screened, it was a request and I was hoping it would be embroidered as well but I've seen enough pics of the gloves to know that it wasn't.... :(
-
Yeah, the first run was really quick....Ace did a tremendous job.
-
Thanks for the compliments, guys....I really appreciate it. I'll have a pic up of me in all of it once the pants come in - still waiting on those.
-
Eh, just preference I guess.....I don't like the stuff on the backrolls of the NBH 4-rolls either. But strangely enough, I love pinstripe anything....go figure ;)
-
Awesome gloves! Congrats to her :)

Haha....tell me about it. I have been talking about going custom for years now so I finally decided to take the plunge. Usually $150 is the most I would pay for gloves.

New skates for Christmas, since I used my other pair of One95's for roller - I also added the Bauer Comp 5000 Formit tongues to these like on my rollers :). If anyone is interested in a brand new pair of size 10D One95 tongues, let me know.
-
Haha .... I'll think about it ;)

With all of the surgeries I've been through this last year, black and blue is appropriate ;)

Thanks bud!

Well, I'm extremely neurotic about my gear so it took a lot of thought, mock-ups and stress....haha. Basically I called Warrior's customer service dept. to see if what I wanted done was possible and they put me in touch with one guy there and another guy at MIA/Warrior so I could send them pics and examples of what I wanted. I basically sent them a bunch of pics of Hossa's gloves and some photoshopped mock-ups using their online template but listed exactly what I wanted done. Once they confirmed they could do it, I paid Hockey Monkey (closest dealer) and they started production. As for cost, let's just say they weren't cheap by any means - the more mods, the more the price. After tax, they were under $300, but not by much. The good news about these, as my Wife pointed out is that I can't sell them because my name is stitched on 'em. ;)

Ordered them on 11/20 and got them today. Not too bad but the last couple weeks were painful....heh.

Here's how they looked with the white stitching - http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/6172/photouz1.jpg

Thanks guys! I really like them - they look even better in person. I too that pic from my iPhone at work but I hope to take better pics later with my regular camera.

Yup - Custom Warrior Franchise 13" glove (14" but the small cuff makes them 13" overall) modeled after Marian Hossa's gloves. Pro insert package, custom cuff, colors and embroidery. And a happy customer. They did mess up on one thing though - I had asked for and paid for the "NHL" lettering style, which is basically just Arial font but instead they gave me the retail embroidery. Oh well....no way I'm gonna send them back just for that.
-
Yeah, I don't like the stripes - however, they used white thread on the stitching for the backrolls (and everywhere else for that matter) so I took out my trusty DecoColor fine-tipped paint pen and blacked it all out - looks flawless! :) Oh yeah, I'm good to go....been back on skates for about 4 weeks now. Also, I got another pair of One95's (for ice) so I'm in good shape as far as equipment goes ;)
