06 mission line

Maybe its because the tongue is out, but the boot just looks bulky to me. I'll try and see some in person when I can, but its hard to see the upper models around here.

Do they feel light for a 3rd model skate?

When do you get to use those ninjas?

Mission third model this year compares to most companies 2 model. The weight of these are definately comparable if not lighter than PF8's, Blue Max, etc.

I looked at the pictures, and they're different when you see them in person.

BTW, i just got back from my first skate in them. These are really solid skates. Theres nothing i dont like about them. The originally felt too stiff, but after a light skate, that feeling completely goes away. The Swiss bearing/Rink Rat Hornets are cash.Great job this year Mission.

The tongues are a bit longer than most. The boot is not thicker, nor is it much taller. The heel/tendon guard is bit small though.

Fantastic skate. I am soooo happy Mission made the changes they made. Justin and the rest of the guys at Mission have done an outstanding job. The boot is super light, and super stiff. I can only imagine how light the 10000s are.

I have 9500s, in case people were wondering.

can you compare the 9500's to the Code 1's please?

I've skated Mission since their debut in 96, so a change to Tour would be different for me.

I like how on the original picture on page 4 how the helium 950's where on the bottom with them pointing inside like they mean nothing. isnt it just a little bit ago they came out. I think its weird that missoin comes out with the new line so quickly. It would still be a big treat for me to get some h-950's.

the heliums came out sometime after july last year.. every skate company comes out with new lines almost every year not just mission.. i remember in ohio the heliums were being displayed (which was july) and only a selected few like benny frank and jason polera and such on the mission habs were wearing them and they came out in the following months after nationals

Schultzie,

Umm, well...The Code 1's are a great skate. Stiff, very light. The Hum'er chassis was not that bad to get used to. I really don't feel that much faster than in HiLos and I also don't feel like I'm gripping sooo much better. The Code 1s are giving me durability issues that I NEVER dealt with on my Mission skates. Could just be bad luck. The side area that says "Code 1" tore open on me after my 4th skate, the side bumpers are getting and showing alot of wear, the outsole is chipping and seems to be damaged easily, the Genesis wheels have just about all cracked, and lastly the Cateye chassis dented bigtime on me and I don't even think I took such a hard shot. Also, I never feel like I can get and keep a nice tight lacing. Could be the lack of a 10th eyelet, could be the wierd spacing between the eyelets (there are flex notches between the 3rd and 4th eyelet, and then between the 6th and 7th eyelet). Don't get me wrong. They are still great skates, certainly a top level skate. But I don't think they are delivering the way my Missions have delivered...in an altogether well-built, durable, high performing skate.

My early impressions of the 9500s are extremely good. I really feel Mission has recaptured what they let slide on their DNA lines. The 9500s have that feeling that they are just an extremely well-made skate, and alot of attention has been paid to making them so. I would say the 9500s are as light as the Code1's. When I lace them up, they have a quality feel to them. They are also much stiffer in just about every place whereas the Code1s are not. The 1s are stiff, but have some soft spots. The Missions have no soft spots. Lol. I will take the time to break these in, and won't heatbake due to some bad past experiences. But for other people, you may want to do so.

If you're a real Mission person, dedicated to the hi-lo, you will love these skates. And for $50 less than the Code 1's, and what I feel to be equal to or better than quality than the Code1s, go with the Missions.

Mission skates (not 10000) pants and girdles arrived at my warehouse today. I was there and unloaded the stuff. Didn't look at it as I had a meeting with the owner.
