What number do you wear

Recommended Posts

My team hasn't formed yet (we're shooting for next summer), but when it does I will wear 8.

There are several mathematical reasons.

Crash Davis wore 8 in the best movie ever. The wisest words ever spoken: "Don't think. It can only hurt the ball club".

Plus, there's Cam Neely who, despite my hatred of all things Boston, has done truly amazing things and is a damn good actor ("You tell 'em Sea Bass!!).

And in one great email prank a guy asked (posing as a 10 year old lad) every single member of Congress for their favorite joke. Very few responded, but one that did replied: "What did Zero say to Eight?", "Nice belt". I'm sorry but that's just darn cute.

I also considered 39 (my HS football number and tribute to the Zonk; I was bruising fullback in the day), and 37 (from Clerks; and yes, I have the jersey.

But 8 feels good. Or at least I hope it will.

.... and 37 (from Clerks; and yes, I have the jersey.

I almost bought one of those, and one of the best scenes in any Kevin Smith movie. It's a running joke at the shop "In a row?"

As Chris Rock said: " You just don't want to know."

2!

2!!!

Well, I guess that's just the way you were raised."

My dad once told me that you had to assume that she was just as "expeienced" as you.

Yikes!!

Norm, I thought you wrote you were from Hudson, NH. How come you aren't a Hub fan?

I use to wear 11 for messier. Then I started wearing 27 for Kovy. And then I went to 4 because of my uncle, then 27 was taken on my next team, as was 4, so I went with 24. Or you can say I did it for Ex Ranger Sundstrom.

Er... mainly, I wear #21 because:

- I was born on the 21st day of the 9th month.

- My brothers were born on the 21st day of the 4th month.

- My apartment no. is #21

But can't in my new team because of some idiot who wanted to keep the number but had no reason why....

So I wear #64 because it's my girlfriend's birthday (6th day of the 4th month).

Also, there would be #12 because it's my fav. player's number (IGINLA!) and it reflects #21.

I wear 26 for my favorite player as a youngster, Mats Naslund who played most of his career with the Habs then with the Bruins. If I'm not mistaken I think he is working with Hockey Sweden now.

I like wearing #47, but the league I'm in this year just issued me #8 (forward). I'm #1 as a goalie too, which I don't really like but can't do anything about.

I wear #19 because that's the # Tony Gwynn, the last great player in a sport now overrun with juiced up meatheads, wore.

After that I wore the number 16--hull baby! now that I am playing again I chose the Number 7. My father pasesd away this past june and I wanted to honor the man who worked 2 jobs so I could be blessed to play this game growing up!
