I don't mean to sound like an ass, but Ribeiro wears the skates, I think the first impression has already been made. No? All you need to do is dig up some recent game shots to see what they look like. I think JR's pics can do nothing but generate hype about them, regardless of quality. So what if the white is a bit off-white, most people have enough common sense to take things like that into consideration when judging the photos. Either someone sees acceptable grainy pics(which didnt look bad at all to me) now or super spiffed up photoshopped pics later, it's going to be hit or miss in terms of impression if they havent tried it on.

djinferno, maybe you should read the whole post! They are custom skates as stated in the 1st post!

i read it but custom could mean size like 1/4 or stiffness etc...

I asked him a question, no offence but i beleive hes big enought to answer himself...

Also, if you read the prevevous posts, i asked for a picture of someone who had them fixed so i'm assuming he got them fixed...

I pulled them - they didn't ask.

Justin - lol my camera phone is all I've got! :P

The S500s's fit is sick - better than my old ones.

The Fuels need a little more work - nbut I haven't skated in them yet.

DJInferno - all of the newer S500s come like that, with leather instead of the nylon.

EDIT: I just got a pair of S500s today for Kristin - it came from Mission this way...

Regardless of what the questioning opinion was, you are going to have two opinions on them. The people who like flashy vector/L series/Vapor skates and those who like traditional Supreme/Tacks/S series from just visuals. By seeing JRs pic and looking at Ribs' skates, you will notice they are flashy, so of course they will get comparisons to the other flashy skates, visually. I don't get why this "first impression" shtick is such a big deal. It's not like the skates are pearly white and JRs pics made them seem green or yellow.

Nah, maybe I should've been clearer...the ones you made for me have the leather, that's what comes on the newer stock S500s. The pic of Kristin's was just showing him how if you took it somewhere, it would be repaired. I have no problems with it, I ain't bitchin'!

I have a Canon 20D camera. SEND ME SOME SKATES!!! I'll take the pics.

I'm skating on a pair of Mission Amp3. My first ever skates but I could use an upgrade.

Mission could use some representing here in Kansas City as the local shops don't carry hardly any Mission gear. I'm your man to get the word out. :D

I have pencil and paper. Send my a pair of skates and I can draw them.

One note: I'm not a very good artist so they'll be more my "interpretation" of the skates. ;)

I'm not typically one for the looks of a skate (I could care less, unless they were the all white Nikes which were quite non-hetro), but those look sharp!

they are good looking skates, great design, just not something i like in a skate, and not something i would really wear based on the aesthetics of a skate alone. but im not one to draw attention to myself...
