Mission M-1. They are lightweight and very comfortable. They also offer a ton of mobility. These gloves didn't even require a break-in. They fit a little bit loose, and the cuff is slightly flared to allow good wrist movemnet while still offering a lot of protection.

Vapor XXs, very light and very portective. I really like the palm too, very nice feel to these gloves.

I second that post.

you can really get the feel for the stick/puck with those. the fit is more of a "snug" fit. by far the best gloves I've ever owned.

My favorite gloves are my easton pro golds. Great feel, great protection and the best part about them is that they have lasted longer than any other glove i have ever had.

Silver Muskoka 950's

They just felt lighter than the 970's especially with the added velcro pad taken out. Mine have held up remarkably after 6+ season's of roller. They have a great feel, the only thing I'd improve would be adding three-piece fingers and mesh gussets. Has anyone seen any of their newer models (the carbon fiber look with three piece fingers) at prices under $75? I've tried them on and they actually felt even lighter with the same level of protection.

Oh also I'll add CCM Vectors. Love the palm but I especially like the fingers. Absolutely amazing. I didn't try them on until I had after I bought my Vapor XXX's, but I made a mistake. The XXX's are great gloves but I would have rather gotten the Vectors.

I absolutely love my Easton Synergy 1300's. Extremely light, great fit and wrist protection second to none. I also have a pair of Reebok 8K's that are awesome as well but still like the Eastons the best. I'm one of those guys that likes the anotomically shaped gloves as opposed to the traditional squarer gloves like Eagles or Tacks. ;)

my two favourite would be the muskoka gloves (i'm using ZR900's that i got new for $30 CAN :P ) and the cable knit HGT's, which feel much better than the leather (or is it synthetic leather) version. the only thing with the muskokas is the fingers have too much volume for my hands so the gussets get folded around

Liked the Vapor line since the XXs came out, bought the XXXs of the bunch so they get my vote as favourite glove.

Honourable mention to my Supreme 5000 pro model from 2002 or so, bought them the same year as my original Synergy and they still rule.

:D SherWood 5060 Pro Return from the Devils for 65$ US-Brand new unused-I used to re-palm alot of gloves and between the SherWood, Bauer and Kohos they seemed to have the longest lasting palms

The worst on Palms-Easton-RBK-Jofa-Itech

Protection is always #1 to me-I have to be able to go to work the next day :P

Hi everyone,

I'd like to know what's your favorite hockey glove and why.

I'd also like to know what's the most important thing for you when you buy a glove (is it the comfort or the protection?)

Thanks!

Imitation is the greatest form of flattery.

I loved my old Easton GX7000 and GX9000  ;)

Nowadays I have to say Quest 1 or Vapor XXX

There was no 7000 or 9000. There was a GX700 and 900...

That´s what I meant :D

TPS HG1s

Pro Easton Z-Airs

Jofa ASDs (forgot the model)

Easton 1350s

Edit: I'll add the cop-out answer and add my HG1/HGT hybrid customs.

I really liked the CCM 452 (Radioactive series) because of the price and the clarino palms that they had. The palms were extremely thin and soft. I couldn't find anything around the same price that had quality palms.

I tried on the Vapor XXX and the Vapor XX at my LHS and they feel awesome but I'm not sure I want to shell out so much for gloves.

What I look for in gloves:

- Thin palms

- Soft palms

- Tight fitting on the back of the hand area (personal preference)

IMO the best feeling glove I've ever tried on are the vapor XXXs

They are the best feeling gloves IMO too. But Im not dropping $120 for em so I got TPS TGP.....theyre the all black gloves that look really original.

A glove has got to be flexiable. When I say that I just mean able to adjust to my hands when stickhandling. The XXX's are really great with that unfortunatly the palms rip pretty quickly.

Easton Pro Airs. My Mission Pro Stock L-7s are pretty great too, mesh guessets, thin palm, nylon/leather hybrid. Just the Easton Airs are so mobile nothing can compare.

My first 3 pairs were intermediate-level nylon gloves by Jofa, another by Jofa, and Vic. They lasted me around 2.5 seasons before being completely shredded. I probably got them each for $30. The Vics felt great, but were so crappy that I didn't get through the first year before I had massive holes in the palms.

The pair I have now has lasted me since 1999, I think. I paid $45 for last-year-clearance model of Itechs, the last year they used Kevlar palms.
