Best Skill Move

Recommended Posts

my favorite move that i've pulled way too many times is bring the puck out wide on my forehand (left handed) on a 1 on 1 and wait till the defense is going to take a swing at the puck and then pull it through their stick. so far this season its worked every time :D

My best moves: going bar down. Or the getzlaf, otherwise I just throw out the little forehand backhand fake.

bednarz, have fun driving to Pekin, the rink is shit and theres no showers at all

hey, pekin guy, still here  our rink is a dump, good ice though, it sucks not having showers. Its in good shape for having no major aesthetic renovations since 1962, besides plaxiglass. we were gonna get some new locker rooms and showers supposedly all paid for by a donation a few years ago, but the park district decided no. Oh and were playing at joliet the first game anyway. bednarz are they gonna put it on public tv again? last time i was on tv there i got 2nd star, it was pretty fun.

Hey no worrys lol. I must say the ice is very nice but, when I got dressed in something like a 13 by 13 room with 17 guys it was pretty brutal. I doubt they are gonna put it on TV. They really only do that for the NIHL championship. Anyways, Ill be looking forward to you guys heading up to Orland to play us.

Me too, i like chicago refs better. I can hardly hit during home games at all, sometimes i wish i would have played jr's this year, but it didnt seem like a great investment, i'm better off saving up for college

Just share with us what's your best deke/skill you can do on ice.

My special deke is when stickhandling, I pull the puck back between my legs and push it to one side, do a spin-o-rama and that's me just beat the D.

You pull that in games on d-man and don't get rocked? Wow, those must be some crappy defenseman you're playing againts.

We do have good defensemen here. It's just I make it more fancier than it sounds :D

I'm pretty sure that if you ever pulled that on me, you would be headed for the big leagues. I've never been burned on a guy pulling that move. Do you play zero-contact?

We play full contact. Tons of practise was done into doing this move right (2hrs on Fridays afterschool just repeating the same move) and y'know, the more you practise the better you become.

LOL. If you're pulling that move on good d-men and not getting killed I guess we're going to see you in the NHL soon.

I gave that dream up LONG ago! As soon as I discovered the fun of going out to bars and clubs, I was doomed :P

One time deal for sure, but tonight slipped the puck one handed around d-man, 360 spin around him and bar down, crucial goal , game winner, dirty celly to go with it

-putting the puck from your back to the inside of the skate back to your front to deke the goalie and score top shelf

-flipping the puck in the air and batting it in top shelf (like Kane in the 2nd half of this vid

-----never scored like this in a game but taking this further, going out from behind the net like than, flipping the puck up, and batting it in top shelf with your back towards the goal

that's all I got so far

just stickhandle back and forth a few time pick one side out skate the d man and us my body to make room and pass i dont really got much going for me besides strength and size so i use it and in a breakaway/shootout just cut infront of the net a few feet away and shoot to the opposite corner or just shoot lol its amazing how well this works b/c ppl expect you 2 deke

i sort of made my own move :P in shoot outs

its a rob hainsey + pavel bure move ( works all the time )

i put the puck between my legs than instead of picking it up and do the Michigan, i would put it on my skate than dangle it in

Starting behind my own net, I do like 7 backflips and then pick the puck up on my blade, put it on top of my helmet, and then drop it back down when I'm past the first forechecker. I'm so fast that the other two forwards can't even see me, and then when I get to the defense I'll do a spinorama, and while I'm doing it I tie their skates together so they fall down, then I do like 8 more backflips, carry the puck around like Rob Schremp, eat a hotdog, and then skate back to my own net, take a slapshot, skate down the ice and deflect it in myself. Works every time. We play full contact, too, and I only play against NHLers on their days off. I'm not pro, though, because I'm more into devoting my time to building model replicas of the space shuttle.

I know this guy, it's true. He puts mustard on the hot dog.

Righty here

coming down the left side

On Dmen i like to fake like i'm going to cut back towards the middle, and if i can get him to flinch, just slide the puck around him and meet it on the other side.

on goalies, the forsberg is always one of my favorites. I'm 6'4", so I have the wingspan to make it a little easier.

I also dig the briere move, where you stick handle to get the goalie thinking, and make like your going to cut across the crease. if the goalie bites, raise the left toe a little bit to bring me back across and pot it back hand. if he doesn't, hold it a bit more and slide it five hole.

down the right side,

D i can go for the toe drag sometimes, but I like to use my speed coming down the right wing and shield the puck with my body, and force my way to the net.

on goalies, the teapot is a good one.

down the middle on a breakaway i go for that mike richards move that he beat huet with in the playoffs last year. kick the leg, and open the goalie up on the back hand and slide it five hole.
