Oh yeah, and our only female science teacher had an OCD that she had to stack similar things like erasers, text books, whatever...so if you really wanted to make class start late you'd get there really early if the room was empty and mess up the whole room. She literally couldn't start class until she got the room the way she wanted. We caught a few teachers doing it to her too lol

I had a teacher like that before. She had a wicked case of OCD and she would clean the desks after every class and she would have to wash her hands every 5 minutes. The problem is, when she was explaining key concepts to us, she would get distracted by the lone book that wasn't on its shelf or the eraser that was on the floor and pick it up and return it to its place... Then she would go up to the board and not remember where she was, so the lecture would start all over again.

Grade 10, i've always been really good at school and never had to even work hard, but this year is gonna be differnt, all my classes are really really hard, I'm gonna have to work my ass off, if i want to pass! My schedule is really sweet this year, I start at 9:10 and finish at 11:54 on most days, and then go play hockey from 12:30 till 2:45. The only thing is i'm getting home at around 4:30

i dont get all this grade 10 stuff, over here we have primary school - p1, p2 etc right to p7, then u go to high school which is 1st yr, 2nd yr, 3rd so on to 6th year and theres lower and upper sixth, im lower 6th right now, started on monday. We get this thing called EMA, were u get payed every 2 weeks just for showing up to school, £60 every 2 weeks is awesome and i only have 3 classes.

could someone say what age u are in each grade so i can understand what grade would corospond with what yr please?

And what do you call the big exams you do when your 16/17, in 5th year, if you have any? their called GCSES over here and you do 8/9 subjects.

Most, but not all, school boards have this general outline:

elementary or primary school running from kindergarten to grade 1 to 6

(corresponds to P1 to P7)

middle school grade 7 & 8

(corresponds to 1st and 2nd year high school)

high school: 4 years: grade 9, 10, 11 & 12 (age 14 to 17);

(corresponds to 3rd to 6th year HS)

Ontario used to have Grade 13 (upper 6th) which was for university track students but dumped it a few years ago to match the other provinces/states in North America.

I believe the SAT test is the equivilent of the GCSES.

just to clear some things up. our school, runs on a 9 day cycle. for exemple: this week was day 4,5,6,7 next week will be 8,9,1,2,3 the week after 4,5,6,7,8 and so on. I'm in a special program at my school for which translates to "sport-study" about 7%-8% of the kids at the school are in this program. You have to kept minimum 70% in all classes and have an average of minimum 75%, and of cours be able to afford it. As soon as second class is done we get on a bus and drive to the rink. we arrive at around 12:15 and we are on the ice at around 12:30. on days 3,6,9 we have regualr days like the rest of the school thought.

Same up till lunch, which is from 11:54-12:18, then 12:22-1:03 for 6th period.

So 41 minutes with 4 minutes passing time for each class except lunch, and we get out at 2:33.

My school starts at 7:30 and ends at 1:45 with 8 46 min periods.

Our lunches are a full period, but technically the first 23 minutes are study hall.

I cant wait for my 3rd/4th semesters this year, I get ice skating/Floor Hockey for Phys Ed and I get my Boater's License and get to Drive/fix Boats for a class, since the LI Sound is right down the street.

this semester sucks for me (Jr year)

first hour I have "Advanced PE" in which there are about 3 athletic people in there. Plus we have to do lame sports because at this time of year it is too damn hot out to do anything outside.

Second I have Arizona/US History. My teacher is of Navajo decent and she is damn proud of it. About every other sentence is "For example, in my culture....blah blah blah" Plus she is BORING as can be.

next is Chemistry. Luckily I am pretty smart in it. Teacher keeps your attention at least. But she is a total bitch if you miss school which means missing school for hockey = pain in the ass.

Next hour is lunch and i can finally go off campus for it! yay!

Last hour is Photo 1. Class is pretty sick. No complaints.

Im in a hugly over crowded school because the used to have this one junior high split up its 9th graders and half went to one high school and half went to another now they all come to our school. We are at 2200 and you literraly cannot walk in the halls they are packed. I love my schedual first hour law, second hour english, 3rd hour sociology, 4th hour algebra 2, 5th hour physcology, 6th hour astronomy. This is the first year Ive actually liked school. I have 3 crazy teachers my first hour teacher took his vcr home for the summer and when the tech lady came and hooked it back up and test played it lmao there was a porno in it im suprised he still kept his job after that one. I'll update as I am awake now..

We have no homeroom this year, so we have extra time at lockers to get to class in the morning. But during the day it's 5 minutes to get the class, we had tablet comouters instead of notebooks and all that stuff, everything is on our computers. We srtart school at 730 and end at 230. 8 periods a day, but each subject we have 4 times a week, so everyday we have a differnt schedule. We can go outside in between classes which is awsome, can be easier to get to class out side than through the halls. Can't understand my math teacher..but noone else can, and I have friends where I sit in there, and to my left, the girl is funny..yeah. My spanish teacher is hard to understand, but I think I got it. My lit teacher is onenof those, my way or the highway, nothing differnt than what I want or you get detention. My history teacher(modern world studies) is awsome, funny as hell, which is awsome. I am loving school so far, which I havm't liked school since maybe 3rd grade?

i went back to school friday for my grade 12 year. im in a brand new building this year and its pretty nice the gym is huge. this semester might suck becuase i have math, english, and global geography and free block. my engligh teacher is a nut i had him in grade 10 he was like a sniper in the war or something like that . next semester will be a piece of cake tho i have film and video, gym, business manage ment and free.
