haha, yeah, i don't think so, but from a easton marketing point of view, it's great he did it first with their newest stick... if i get a hat trick the first game i play with my SE, i'll let you know.

so for the people who are doubting the performance and what not of this stick, check out this link:

Chris Drury has been a good player for about 8-9 years now, yet just recently scored his first career hat-trick......using an SE too...

Wayne Gretzky never used an S.E. and on occasion he would score a goal or 2 during a game.

is this warranty currently in effect? My linemate got a returned SL, and cant find the warranty infromation anywhere, and he was wonderign what the scoop was

Sticks recieved as warranty replacements are void of any warranty. Usually they're the same as a regular retail stick, but engraved with "warranty replacement" on the back of the shaft. maybe they stopped putting the warranty info on replacements.

Wayne Gretzky never used an S.E. and on occasion he would score a goal or 2 during a game.

not to mention he had 50 hat tricks in his carreer, and not one of them was with the SE. Now when the SE gives donald brashear 4 in a game, maybe I'll believe.

yeah for sure, also if the two bar codes dont match up. then nothing at all, i think from what was said that its going to be used on all the other sticks also down the road

Hopefully the bar codes can't get worn off the stick.

no they cant because the barcode is underneath the finish of the stick kinda like the new RBK sticks how its embedded into the shaft, but the 2nd stick you peel off. I know this is evil but I kinda look forward to having a customer come up to me with a broken SE and saying he lost his receipt and how I cant do anything to help him because he didnt keep his original receipt.

As far as the stick its crazy balanced like very well done and its sweet cause its available in all ranges, sr,int,jr,youth.

i dont think so, they still use the old warranty system, i just sent in my sl a few days ago, im expecting my new one in a couple of days. They have all the info you need at www.eastonhockey.com just go there and click on the warranty link near the bottom and fill out the info they ask for. they will email you back with the number you need and how to send it in tomorrow or the next day.

just so everyone knows, i wasn't being serious when i said the stick got drury the hat trick. i knwo that a great stick doesn't make a great player. but on the same page as what was said above.......if brashear gets 4 or 5 in a game using it, i might want to check it out ;)

Just wondering (and i'm assuming not) if anyone has received theres from easton yet for the toy drive? also how many of you guys took advantage of this deal to get one months before it is released?

I didn't take advantage to get it before it was released. I did it to get a free stick while donating Christmas presents to the needy. If my LHS would donate 100% of the proceeds of a sale to charity, I'd be all over it like a fat kid on a smartie.

oh god :lol:

what i was saying is that i was glad i found that site because i felt really good about donating those toys...it was honestly fun picking 'em out. i'm 22 and have never bought stuff specifically to donate to charity before ;)

edit: and i was more glad when MSH was back up, hah.
