I like norton way better than bana for bruce banner, but I'm thinking it's a bit soon to do this after the last hulk movie flopped, no?

The movies will be five years apart, so that doesn't seem to soon, especially since Marvel feels Ang Lee botched the first movie.

He did botch it, but it's not totally his fault. They didn't have a villain for Hulk in that one other than the Army and in this one they pulled out Abomination.

The hell? I got really excited hearing that the abomination was the new enemy but that looks nothing like the abmomination... though the trailer looks much better than the first movie.

Yeah, but I'm going to give it a pass since it's a villain for him this time. Better than the hint about Nolte turning into Absorbing Man. I'd rather see Wendigo but this will have to do, even if he looks all Resident Evil-y.

God damn. Does this mean they're going to go after all of the comic-movies that were shitty?

Here's hoping Fantastic 4, DareDevil, Ghost Rider, and all the others stay dead.

These types of movies are so hard to make well, they really need to stop and get these writers to churn out something good.

Comics being turned to movies pretty much won't ever stop now but I think the reboots and re-dos will. With The Watchmen coming out and the Sin City sequel heading out, these will pick up steam and keep going. The only way you can damage the notion of doing a comic book movie is to make a Spider-Man musical with that fag from the Beatles rapefest earlier this year. Oh wait...

Aaron Eckhart (Thank You For Smoking, Black Dahlia) is playing him. Very good actor, though the name escapes me he was the second choice to play the character.

Of course nothing's in concrete and there may be multiple villains, though that may be layered. Scarecrow is apparently going to be in this one and Two-Face may just be a cameo as Dent gets scarred during the movie.

Release date is still 7.18.07 as far as I know.

Yup. Confirmed release date is 7.18.08 :P

The problem is it seems as though too many of the screenwriters never read comics. Or the studios are worried the core audience won't be enough, so they tinker with the flavor of the character. However, they end up making the movie too much of a cartoon, rather than a mythical world come to life.

If you think about, that's what The Watchmen was all about: What would a world with people willing to dress up and hang out on rooftops really be like? That's how it should have been with Batman in the beginning -- what's the pathology of a guy who witnessed his parents' murders, then decided he would attempt to rid the world of all crime -- but instead they went cartoonish with Jack's Joker. Even Iron Man looks a bit cartoonish, with Robert Downey acting like a wise-ass in the beginning of the movie. Tony Stark was always debonair, not a wise ass.

Actually, Ang Lee delved into the pysche of Bruce Banner, but he forgot that it's supposed to be an action flick at heart, so the movie dragged interminably.

I really like the Watchmen costumes they've shown. This year's looking better and better but the release date for DK should be 7.18.07. I'm Gumby, dammit!
