Nike/Bauer ONE95/ONE75 Skates

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, Ive been wearing my one95's for a couple of weeks now and I love them! The only trouble I am having is the blade, as it is now longer (Have been wearing one90's, both skates are the same size).

Is is possible just to change the blade to a original ls2 blade or will I have to change the tuuk aswell?

you can put ls2 steel in the 2.1 holder, no need for change

Thanks for your help!

If it helps, when I bought my Vapor XXXX's a while back, I thought they were too small initially, but over time I've found that the heel of the skate seems to compress slightly and give a little more room. When new, my toes were right up at the toe cap (leading me to think they were too small), but there's definitely far more room up there after wearing them for a while.

JR will know more I'm sure, just giving you my observations in case it's of help.

is your toes touching at the toe cap?

what is not enough volume?

my friend a nike shoe size 9 in nike v-force/xxv sz 5.5EE

6 Nike/Osris shoe size for me, 3.5D in NikeBauer skates

i tried on 3D and my toes touching the front toe cap, 2.5D, the heel of my foot in the sole and my toes were at end of the skate.

Is this a prefect sizing?

Does anybody know when the LS2 holder and LS 2.1 steel will be available? I thought they would be when the one95s hit the stores, but I can't find them anywhere. I need to replace my LSP because they are cracked...

You can use a regular LS2 holder and swap out the steel at a later date when it becomes available. talk to your LHS and ask if they can order it and how long it will take to get in.

One95s came in today, 8EE was a perfect fit, took out the rivets and threw in some 3mm heel lifts, baked and sharpened at 9/16.

First time I have every bought skates I didn't have terrible pains and have to re-adjust. After years of pain I can finally concentrate on playing rather wanting to cut off my feet. Like everybody said, VERY responsive and good feel, the lifts put me right where I like. I did have to undo the top eyelet for a bit more forward flex, I'm sure after a few more skates though it'll be good, new season next week so they'll be getting a workout soon. Thinking I'll see where they are in a couple more skates and give them a second bake just for the hell of it.

I took two shots off my right food tonight, one off the inside arch, and one right on the tongue in the worst spot to get hit, and I didn't feel anything.

Downside is that I got a scratch on one of the skates, so I need to call the warranty department to see about getting replacements.

I hate it when that happens. Are they open on Saturday's to call and get your warranty processed immediately?? ;)

That scratch could have been prevented if you would have wrapped them in foil before playing in a game.

The foil isn't a good idea at all. It would totally weigh down the skates... :P

Yeah I have the direct line number for serious skate damage. They'll get my new skates to me asap. Some of the tuuk logo was scratched too so I have to get new holders, and part of the LS2.1 power logo was scratched off so I need new steel. They'll set me up with brand new skates I think.

this is a third mention (just in this thread alone) about cuts which leads back to my original question - is the Alive material prone to cuts?

Any skate will get cut up....I think that it is simply when you spend in excess of $500 on a pair of skates that you are more in tune with aestetic abrasions and cuts to your skates.

Buy a pair, abuse the hell out of them like they were intended to be used, and then buy another pair. It is a vicious cycle....but it is hockey. ;)

**update**

1st time i skated in them was for 45 mins. seemed ok. quite stiff but nice turning.

2nd was 30 mins with stick and puck. much better this time but the right skate needed some hard skating

3rd time last night was my 1st game in them. pretty broken in now! i got 1+3 and man of the match thought. so there were quite good. i did not feel as though i was skatin so fast in these then my XX. but i guess im still braking them in.

overall they are a great skate and i sure i will get used to them.

I thought what I was saying was so outrageous that it would never be considered to be truthful :P

Eh.....what is the world coming to when a touch of sarcasm is misconstrued? ;)

Hey whats up. I'm new to MSH. So go easy haha. Just wanted to drop in and say I have the One95 in a 10.5 EE and I wear a size 13 shoe in basically everything. Don't know if that helps anyone with sizing. They are awesome. Probably the best skates I've ever owned. I skated mostly Bauer skates as a kid, some CCM, The ridiculous White Nike Fedorov skate from back in the 90's haha, and I just hung up a pair of Graf G5 Ultra to get into these One95s. Couldn't be happier.

Nope, thats what I wear and looking to make the same switch. 8.5wide in G5...guess I will need to think about EE in the 95 as well! Nothing to do but try some on!
