My prediction: Rangers lose to Washington and Ottawa this weekend and fall to 1-4. They look like crap. PP sucks, line combos suck, no chemistry. Gomez is trying to do too much, Drury does not belong playing with Jagr, he is NOT a setup man, and last of all Malik deserves to be brought out behind the barn and put out of his misery.

While Malik was pretty damn awful all evening—and Gomez not much better—not knowing what to do at the dots during a 3 on 3 is lack of coaching as much as much as it is stupidity. The Rangers were by far the better team most of the night and DiPietro was nothing short of phenomenal. I think the biggest thing is the power play needs to get going a bit. That will turn things around big time. I think they hand WAS their first loss in a close game (but score their first PP goal) and then lose against OTT in a lopsided affair.

I think this is a game that will be trouble for washington too. And saturday night against buffalo, caps could come out of the weekend 5-0, 4-1 or 3-2 and I wouldn't be surprised.

They are playing good, Semin is still out for both games this weekend.

I just hope if they split the weekend games, the win comes against the rangers, although buffalo I'm no fan of either, but Jagr, I'll always root agasint that muppet

Nice predictions :D

No chemistry after 3 games? Be a little realistic, will ya? 3 new centers will do that (Betts playing more so 3rd line). It will take time, that is for sure.

I said in the summer Drury may fit better with Jagr and I still hold to that. Drury can set up, but of course he is more of a shooter and since his injury Jagr has looked to pass it more anyways. Let's be real, Nylander fit Jagr hand in glove, but what can you do? It didn't work out. Gomez carries the puck too much to play with Jagr

Jagr with Dury has some potential, as long as Hossa stays with the line. Makes it a much more power down low line.

If I have any problem with the lines, I rather see Dubi get a better chance at 3rd line all game. Although when Avery comes back, he may be sent down.

You say how much we suck, yet most importantly defensively we are looking fairly good and Lundqvist is hot to start the season. We will be #1 or two lowest in GA in the East by the end of the season

1 win to say chemistry is all better now? C'mon Theo. :)

They played well last night. Played all 60 mins and got tons of shots on Kolzig, who played very well may I add.

We'll see tonight. I'll eat my words if they win, but if they lose, you and I will just have to split my prediction at 1 and 1.

Not after 1 game...I said "it takes time" and "be realistic"

I don't see the lines really meshing until 10-15 games in, IMO. We will see what happens.

Of course, it is a big time challenge tonight. I don't know what to expect to be honest

A lopsided affair as I predicted. <_<

Christ...Is Drury on cloud 9? Wake up, man. Malik led to two goals against. Unreal how 1 minute can kill you. Shanny missed opportunities, Drury, as did Straka

Lotsa chemistry tonight, lotsa chemistry. Rangers fans think beating a mediocre team like Washington will solve all the problems. I knew better...

Not bad, I was 50% for my predictions.

So many Ranger fans are going crazy right now. Everyone just needs to calm down and have some patience. I saw a thread on HFboards where someone was saying to bring back Nylander! LMFAO! Its going to take more than four games for chemistry to develop.

I think Dubinsky should just be happy he isn't drinking his meals right now. He too a major league pop from Luke Richardson. Dubinsky might be an impact player, but he'll want to stay away from the fisticuffs if Luke "wow, I'm still in the league" Richardson can wipe the ice with him like that.

He never should have fought him in the first place. Even though Luke "I'm just here so I can retire in my home city" Richardson is on his way out, he's still a little taller and weighs a little more. He took out Domi one time. Not quite an even match.

Langer, what are you talking about Gomer and his 10mil and 2 pts...we're paying Jags the same for 6pts :D

The Rangers and the Caps are each paying him about $4M for his 6 points.

Yeah that girl is looking down at something. Maybe Jags enjoys dressing in drag a little too much...

Vap - they do look bad. I was watching Rangers OnDemand on the site and they were having Drury-Cally-Prucha practicing together. Gomer is being pushed to the first line and will be forced to play with Jags, chemistry or not. It's do or die time for those guys. And I don't want to hear about chemistry taking time. It's been time enough and plenty of other lines have been formed with other guys with much better results (Guerin-Comrie). No more excuses. Too many expectations unfulfilled. It's time to win games.

Ottawa was too fast for them. I was watching the Ducks-Wings game and those two teams were flying out there. From what I've seen, the Rangers (the way they are) cannot compete with teams like that.

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. - Jaromir Jagr loves playing at Madison Square Garden for the same reason he once dressed in drag at a charity event in Czech Republic: He craves the attention.

Hero? Calm down... I love your hatred for jags. Blame him for all your teams problems, because they have really turned things around since his departure.

Chemistry looked fantastic again tonight. I will say one thing though, I liked the way some of the guys responded after Exelby's late/high hit on Pruchs. Yup, the league is doing it's part in the war against high hits alright..
