easton and trilage have pushed the envelope on the shape of the hockey stick and weight is not so much an issue except with mack :P

if im not mistaken KOHO had an oval stick shaft kinda onepiece back in the early 90's and i always thought it was a good unrefined idea

hey Abbieshockey20......how was the stick taking passes? vibrations and the such?

Weight fags.

I think it's hilarious that you were telling people to grow up in the thread about the gay hockey website...maybe you should take your own advice to heart.

T-Dot: The stick was great taking passes, no vibrations, great feel.

On a side note, as i said earlier when I received the stick I found a small crack on the top of the blade (seller on ebay advertised that there were no cracks just paint chips). After using it ;ast night the crack is spreading a bit, and I fear that the blade might end up breaking soon. So, I emailed the seller on ebay to tell him that I found this crack and that it's spreading and I think the blade will most likely break, and if it does I would like either a refund, or another stick. My question is do you guys think that anything will come out of this or is there some kind of no return policy? Thanks for any help guys!

I would rather put up with sophomoric homophobia than people worrying about a few grams. It's absolutely pathetic that weight is always the first question to come to mind about a new product, like suddenly companies are going to release 500+ gram sticks now.

Now shut up.

I did mention it to him about 5 mins after I received the stick. I was just too damn excited that I couldn't resist using it last night. But yes, I did email him right after I received it to let him know there was a crack. 24 hrs later he didn't email back which leads me to believe he either wasn't on ebay or he knew about the crack before hand. I then emailed him back today with all the info I discussed in my post a few minutes ago.

to weight watchers defense, i've used 500+ gram OPS and they are brutal, and you can feel the difference. example, my se vs my old harrow OPS....man did that harrow suck, and i didnt have to do wrist curls after to get stronger either as long as i used that piece of shit

anyone know if easton will be doing that toy drive thing again? Last year you got a se. If they do it this year will you get a S17 or the synegry.

Post over on the easton message board, and let us know if you get an answer.

Titan Turbo and that was Mike Bossy on the cover of The Hockey News with the blade on fire thanks to John Pagotto of TPS way back when he worked for Titan. The first oval OPS to land in North America by way of Finland. Early 80s.

I saw that online stores are saying 11/16 for the stick, but I believe on here someone said the LHS would be selling them 11/15.

Is that correct or did I misread somewhere?

I received this today from Easton regarding the stick. The link was already posted a few pages back but I thought that there may be a few of you interested in the text:

Easton Hockey, the manufacturer of the #1 stick in the NHL, has announced the launch of www.EastonHockey.com/S17, a micro-site completely dedicated to the all-new technologically advanced Stealth S17 hockey stick. Complete with video, detailed graphics, technology descriptions, a variety of action photos, and a co-marketed Hollywood Records soundtrack, the micro-site is being launched to coincide with the highly anticipated introduction of the Stealth S17 stick, according to Kyle Horn, director of marketing for Easton Hockey.

"The site encompasses the attributes and personality that we see in the S17 stick. A micro-site dedicated to one specific product is a first for us, as is a performance stick with an elliptical profile design - both of which play into the overwhelming demand from players and retailers alike," Horn said. "There's been a lot of buzz around the S17 and this site provides answers to a lot of questions. We wanted to provide the information in a personal manner - one where the consumer can see and hear what the stick offers - not only from a technological standpoint, but more so directly from a few of our NHL stars. Who knows better than the world's best players?"

Along with exclusive interviews and action footage of Minnesota Wild right winger Marian Gaborik, Anaheim Duck center Ryan Getzlaf, New Jersey Devil center Zach Parise and back-to-back 50 goal scorer Ottawa Senator right winger Dany Heatley, the site focuses on the three revolutionary attributes of the new stick: Energy, Velocity, and Accuracy. These three qualities are highlighted throughout the site and provide the backbone of why the new S17 is the most technologically advanced stick ever produced.

Along with the information, the S17 micro-site will host sweepstakes and giveaways throughout the season. Prizes will include customized S17 sticks, Easton gear and a variety of other giveaways. The Stealth S17 will be available at retail stores in November 2007.
