I agree, I liked the 9K, it's a modern skate with a classic feel, not too crazy about the 10K, but then again it's not awful.

Yeah I agree about the new skate. I don't know why but the design make the skate look cheap compared to the 9k.

Everyone seems to have forgotten the most important thing about these skates other than the look. What has changed in the performance and comfort of the new 10k? Whats makes this so different and or better?

No there are 9ko sticks and there 7k sick kick.

I'm going to assume that there will be "9KO" sticks that aren't really 9Ks though. They will probably be painted over sickicks or 10.0s.

Well a true 9K stick has the holes in it, so that will be hard to miss even if its painted, I don't uncderstand why they would paint one since RBK is marketing the crap out of it. It makes sense to have as many people using at the NHL level for exposure.

Marketing baby, marketing. Not too many people will be able to tell if it's a painted 7k or a 9k from watching TV. All the kids will see is the green w/the holes graphic and presume it's 9k and then beg Mummy and daddy for it.

The holes are only on a portion of the shaft and the graphic extends from there completing the illusion.

Easton does the same thing. Regular synergy sticks painted like si-cores, etc...Pros are very particular and cna get what they want. If Bergeron wants a woodie Sherwood painted to look like a 9k he could get it. When he was a rookie he had woodies painted like Vectors (or maybe a v115 I don't remember).

Quite surprisingly, most players don't care what graphics are on the stick. They care about their pattern being right and how the stick feels.

I DOUBT that Bergeron was the one who told CCM/Rbk "paint my stick this way." CCM/RbK doesn't want to market wood sticks, so, the rep more than likely told Berge "your stick will look like this one."

Last night during the Oil and Leafs game I noticed Kaberle(sp?) wearing all RBK stuff. I doubt alot of you care, but I just find it weird after seeing him in the olds Tacks and other CCM equiptment, pumps just doesn't seem like his style.

After awhile, I guess you have to change with the times. Jovonovski is wearing RBKs this year after wearing CCM Tacks for years.

I know one of the WHL rinks that they played a Super Series game in had McD's on the posts.

Regina...or Saskatoon? Can't recall.
