3rd Jerseys for 2008-2009

The thing that I respect about the Lightning 3rd is that it really is what the fans seemed to want. The "Bolts" thing is really only used around here for Lightning fans and we've all wanted a blue jersey. While I've wanted the shoulder patch for the 3rd jersey for a while, I can see why they went that way... They also kept the underarm stripes, which is a nice touch. At least it's better than the last 3rd jersey.

I think a lot of teams took some effort to reach out to their fans. EDM retro, NYI retro, LA "Gretzky years," PHX greyhounds, etc...

Well, the original plan was that the TBL Design the Third Jersey contest was going to run through MSH. Didn't happen though...

good work on the jersey fletch, if LA ever considers a fourth. i too think it's pretty clean looking

I think LA should switch to the jersey that Fletch came up with. My friend also agrees by saying " LA was god back in the day with Gretzky. Why not take out the purple and go back. It just makes sense." He also went on to point out that the ducks got rid of the purple then went on to win the cup. Kinda interesting to think about.

Saw a few of the new 3rd's in person today at Pro Hockey Life. The STL one is even nicer than the pictures. They only had 1 Montreal Anniv. jersey...the one with the CA on the front. Waiting on the Blue Habs Anniv.

I don't really care for the jerseys but I love the color.

Ditto...would love to see their regular logo with the color of the 3rd jersey. That would look much better.

I'd move Toronto up 3-4 spots...drop Buff a few notches on account of the silver striping and put Phoenix dead last...but other than that...decent rankings.

That Habs White 1946 is nice, but the ones Montreal wore tonight are nice too...but it looked weird to see the pants without stripes.

I think the rankings for the bottom 6 got a little skewed. I think they should have had a 6-way tie for 19th place.

Putting Dallas below the Thrashers, Bolts, Greyhoundcoyotes and Sens might be a little much. Even though it's boring it's not trying hard to be exciting, but Dallas did screw it up.

I agree with bringing back the North Stars Jersey, I do like thrasher's jerseys now. I kind of liked the Coyotes at first glance but now I think they look hidieous.

I felt worse for the Islanders being below san jose, boston, phoenix, carolina, and tampa.
