Ah, yes...now I remember reading that and it's even in the picture. Oops. Thanks for the reminder. That would definitely make it hard to find replacement steel if a prototype skate is the only skate that used that steel. It would almost certainly mean a complete holder replacement as stated.

No, this was a Mission skate, not a Bauer skate.

Did you take off the Hot Blades or is that the steel yours came with? Mine came with Hot Blades, which I did not like, so I put tuuks on. Other than that, I love the skates. They mold extremely well to your foot, very comfortable. Very light too, especially for a mission skate.

even though it would almost be a shame to convert the nine-1's, if you did i reakon go for some black mag vanguards, then some of these lovely black/red mb816's you would end up with one hell of a nice looking and performing skate

Won't happen - nothing was made over 280mm. Mine were in production before everything went down, highly doubt they were completed.

so true. everyone tells me to sell them cause im not wearing them regularily at the moment (one95's instead). i think theyre stupid for even suggesting it.

but yeah, when i do wear them people go, "wtf, mission?..." then they actually take a look at the skate and say how nice it looks

been skating on these nme skates for about 3 weeks or so now... my friend got them for me, and he was apart of the "tester" program, and he never ended up wearing them cause he was too comfortable in his other skates, so he gave them to me... these skates are AMAZING... they feel lighter than my old one90's once they are on my feet... i actually don't mind the hotblades and the rush holder... it actually feels better than the tuuk+ and my other holders... never had a chance to try out pitch holders though...
