I really like the look of the new Flexlite. That is how I think a skate should look (except for the bright yellow tendon guard....but I put my socks over them so its ok).

MSRP is only $350?? Good lord, I'm definitely going to try them out now that they're not ugly as sin. Those are beautiful, and a black holder will complete them nicely.

Nope, those are Supreme 5000s from at least 6 yrs ago.

The Bauer Flexlite 4.0 skate will be available in all black starting April 2009. The MSRP is $350. There is a 4.0 PRO skate but that will be available to Europe only. The only difference is the 4.0 PRO features a "Variable x-stiffness Flexposite quarter package" while the 4.0 skate features "Variable stiffness Flexposite quarter package". The 4.0 PRO is a stiffer boot. The fit is the same between the two models.

As for Bauer "dominating" on the pro level with perceived exposure, Bauer was close to 70% share in NHL players for skates when the season opened.

So, like last year when the FL18 was essentially the FL10.

Will this new Flexlite have "custom" options if I decide to go that route in 2009? I like the look of that skate...I guess I will see how it fits compared to other Flexlites though.

Yup, it was a huge surprise I got to snag the Modin Vapor 10s(a friend also got a few pairs of older gloves).

Here's how it went down -

Those gloves came out in 2002. Notice the logo on the thumb, it is "Supreme 5000," same as what the Lightning player is wearing. Also look at the side pads (between the backrolls and the thumb), notice that it is different.

After that glove came the SDP.

Then after that came the NBHPro 4-roll glove.

He is just wearing the old gloves that Tampa Bay still has in their storage.

No, they're not. The new Bauer 4-Rolls have the new logo on them, and they look sharp. If I'm allowed I can post a picture of them.
