i know for the most part the AHL only wears CCM/RBK but the majority of the stuff that Sean Avery isn't. Besides the gloves (which I assume are just rebranded).

only player in the AHL that I've seen use TPS sticks as well as a Bauer helmet.

I concur, I've curved two bauer blades (xxxlite, an old vapor x, maybe?) the older vapor was easier to curve, but the wrap popped really easy, so it is now held together with glue, wax and toe-tec. The xxxlite curved, definitely but to heat I had to go super slow on the lowest setting on my heat gun. took about ten minutes, its a thick blade, but it solid and the wrap hasn't popped yet.

It's a shame that I'm so poor, because I would like to have 15 blades or so to mess around with, it would give me reason to play hockey every day.

The rule, I believe, is actually for guys in the "A" who are on NHL deals and have been up with an NHL club, be it two way deals or down on waivers, conditioning stints, etc.

I noticed that as of late (past couple months) because Jack Skille.. for the most part when he's in the AHL wears CCM/RBK but when he gets called up is in either Bauer (sticks, skates, gloves, helmet) or Easton (gloves, sticks, pants) and Bauer everything else.

Welcome to the internet, where everyone is an expert. The people who know are the ones that usually don't say much of anything. It's an interesting concept but I don't think you're going to be seeing these at retail anytime soon.
