About how stupid the comments on phew are gonna be once the group is flooded with pics of x60s. Just relax, the speculation over all of this is ridiculous. I've been excited for skates before, but this is just getting stupid. So you'll see them tonight. Everyone has already seen them. They'll be available in a month. Love the game and love the gear, but I think everyone needs to stop ripping each other apart about them. And the constant speculation is so worthless haha.

There's a Bruin tonight who has the end of his stick wittled down to about a point similar to the shooting end of a pool cue (maybe a tad bigger but you get the idea). Is this common? I've never seen it before. I'm not sure what it is but it would sure make a butt end painful.

Also, Tim Thomas is using Manny Fernandez's helmet after his own broke. You'd think they'd have their own backups. He gave up a goal within 2-3 minutes of donning Manny's lid.

Well, the best feature of the xxx's was the fade so I guess that makes sense.

That said, the skate is not about "aesthetics". Yes, it may look like a XXX at the moment and maybe it feels like a XXX, plus Bauer took the boot profile of the XXX for the X:60, since Vapor XXX was the most popular of the Vapor series. The X:60 does have features that let it stand alone from the XXX or XXXX, for that matter. The icewarehouse page does the best shop of explaining features and benefits of the X:60. Until April rolls around, use that as your guide to what the X:60 is about, not about what it looks like from a picture.

I was told that awhile ago..about the boot profile of the Vapor XXX being in the X60 and stiff like the XXXX. Just from what I heard, it was nothing too earth shattering, but nevertheless a new skate. I think there is a new liner, but other than that, I dont know anything about the internal workings of the boot.
