watching the blackhawks vs sharks game tonight..GREAT GAME btw! even though they lost due to the Setoguchi goal. (go figure, i saw jeremy roenick out at a lounge downtown the other night)

byfuglien was wearing bauer one95s as opposed to his ccm U+.

campbell was using a warrior dolomite as opposed to his reebok sick kick.

Buff had an excellent game against st. louis, and threw it all away with that stupid penalty imo. Back on topic though, i also noticed that. Warrior seems to be gaining popularity, for whatever reason. I cant find it but i remember someone on here said something about ccm encouraging its players to try other companies sticks. Also, is there any penalty that companies place on their contracted players for not using their product? i.e. player sponsored by brand x uses brand y's stick, does sponsoring brand take any action? sorry if that was confusing but ive always wondered this.

There's probably some freedom. If player A is using companies X's stick and not scoring than the point to paying player A the big bucks while hes not scoring doesn't help company X.

that seems to contradict the point of having sponsored players. If a player wasnt scoring, wouldnt they have their sponsor cover another company's stick that the player likes in their graphics :ph34r: jk

sorry to clog this thread up, but on a different note, has anyone noticed that teams are wearing white earslings on their alternate helmets? didnt think id ever see a whole team (besides the wings) do that.

whats so special about the habs gloves on the last page?

Look like Tacks or some other 4-roll that has the Vector graphics. I haven't seen a Vector glove that looks nice, but those are decent with the solid color medial rolls and lack of Spaceman flair.

Most alternate jerseys are throwbacks, and the white straps are just an homage to the old school style. Personally, I love it. Edmonton's are awesome.

it seems like buff had a really off game last night, imo.

back on topic..

Anton Stralaman of the Leafs.. has what looks to be logoless Easton skates on.. i'm assuming they're S17s?

Sometime from November 7th to now Kozlov's Carbster went from Mission to Easton. A few years ago wasn't someone's Carbster rebranded for an international tournament, or am I remembering wrong?

with the getty images stamp in the way.. i can't really tell. it's directly on his helmet.

but mission's logo is somewhat similar to the easton logo..

and when it's THAT small on a helmet.. i'd say it would be easy to get them confused, especially when you can't clearly see the logo on the helmet.

i'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's still marked mission.. until we can get a better pic.
