Choosing pants

Recommended Posts

Hi guys!

A few weeks ago I had got an injury of my right knee.

After that I tried to skate (I mean "recovery" skating) without my pants, shoulder pad and helmet, I wear only shins, elbows, gloves and my old "hockey" suit.

I was very surprised because I've got a lot of mobility in my feet, it was so incredible! I skated so two trainings - and I was starting feeling myself as advanced skater!

However, after this I tried to skate with my all equipment - and unfortunately my legs were very slow and unmobile.

All I think about it - it's my PANTS, they steal my mobility and quickness.

So, here is a question.

Now I use Mission L7 (size XL), with inserts from my old Easton Z-Air - they are tanks!

But I think, if I'll change my pants for more flexible, but with lower protection - it will help me increase my skating level.

How do you think, is it right?

And finally, which one pants could you recommend as change for me?

I wear Vapor XXV's and it feels like I'm not wearing pants at all. Very little protection though, just enough not to get bruised when falling. Tacklas have a lot of protection with a lot more leg movement if you can try some. And I've heard good things about the Supreme line of pants having more protection while still having good flexibility and movement.

There have been tons of threads about pants vs. girdles, all very full of information that address the mobility question:

Thank you. Personally, blaming any lack of mobility on pants strikes me as funny.

yo money its gotta be the shoes.

You should stop thinking about yourself so seriously

my fuel 110's have plenty of protection and when i skate with the legs unzipped are very mobile. favorite pants to date.

I'll second that. Mobility in the 110's was a big improvement over my old Vic's.
