We gave them information on our long term review program and they have contact information for both JR and me. We have yet to hear anything from them regarding our testing program.

I believe the early word from how they FELT was poor. Heavy, overpriced and rather unimpressive.

Please keep in mind that;

1) That is not my opinion, it's what I've read.

2) That was based on feel in-hand, not usage.

Other than that, I haven't heard anything about their sticks. I recall them looking pretty decent.

I rated them based on handling the product in their booth at the let's play hockey show in vegas at the beginning of the year.

1. super heavy, definitely over 500g

2. super thin taper

3. someone snapped one in their booth

4. way overpriced for the weight. stick manufacturers charge more by integrating newer technology to keep the weight of the stick low, while keeping rigidity and durability 'relatively' high. I'm not sure why Miken charges what they do?

5. I didn't notice any flex of the blade when I played around with it.

6. All-black stick with minor graphics looks sexy.

5. I didn't notice any flex of the blade when I played around with it.

Placed my thumb in the middle of the blade and grabbed the toe with my finger and could get it to open up or close down significantly without using excessive pressure.

A buddy on my team was trying one of these out. The taper is rediculously narrow, along with the entire shaft. The flex ratings are way off. . . . It was a 100 flex but felt like a 75 to me. He didn't have any complaints about the weight, and he said the puck just flew off his stick, but for the price tag, it probably isn't worth it.

He went back to his easton se pretty quickly

I got one to try and give them feedback, because they are looking to change things already. They know they have issues now about the balance of the stick. I used it after telling them my initially thoughts and after using it it was exactly what I thought. There is way to much twist and torque in the Tapered Hosel and in the Blade. The puck feel was pretty good its just shooting felt like crap. I tried to high and it would torque so much that the puck went low and far side. I hope I can get a hold of the 2nd generation because they should take the steps in the right direction.

If you want a nice bat, get a Rawlings Big Stick. You guys are talking about crutches.

thats a wood one right? i broke mine lol...i know jack about baseball/softball bats...but i definately prefered the mikens over eastons or worths

i play in a summer slow pitch softball league, its more for the chilling out than the play but the freak 2 got banned lol...apparantly it killed a dude somewhere

i use the freak though...great bat

I'm still in high school and Miken's are definitely not a favorite. Mostly Eastons, Demarini, and Lousiville Sluggers. But i think Miken is more of a softball brand anyway.

ok when it comes to baseball nothing beats the louisville sluggers...i just can't use a composite bat in baseball...it feels weird
