Aussie Joe 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2009 Who else is getting psyched about this one? I just watched the extended trailer, oh man it got me pumped something crazy. This will bring a new dimension to the series I think. Available in HD as well...Terminator Salvation Extended Trailer

Aussie Joe 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2009 Don't worry, SF, it comes out a week later here then the US so I will be right there waiting with you.
mack 44 Report post Posted May 12, 2009 I think it'll be solid but it'll bum a lot of people that will go thinking it's a Christian Bale-led movie.
Scurvy 3 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 All signs point to this movie easily being one of the best this summer. I'm really hoping it doesn't disappoint.
Aussie Joe 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 Bale looks solid in the previews, but I also get the feeling there will be more then just his character as the main "attention grabber" in the movie. In particular they hint at showing more origins of Kyle Reese before he gets sent back in time etc.
Scoobersti 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 I'm really excited for this movie. I'm not a Christian Bale fan so I'm just hoping for the story to be good and the actions to be exciting.
RecLeagueHero 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2009 After T3 I don't have high hopes for this movie. I hope it's good, but I'm leaning more toward it being a CG special effects laden crap fest that rides the Terminator name to finanical success.
Aussie Joe 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2009 My initial reaction was towards this. But, since reading the interview with the director, hearing about his meetings with James Cameron, the respect shown to him and also the direction he wants to take the franchise, I think its going to be good. PG-13. Terminator?
chippa13 1844 Report post Posted May 18, 2009 Don't worry, it would have taken almost nothing from the other movies to get them bumped down to PG-13.
RecLeagueHero 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2009 Don't worry, it would have taken almost nothing from the other movies to get them bumped down to PG-13.Don't know about that, at least for the first Terminator. I don't see how the police station scene could have been kept, or when Arnold shoots up the bar. Actually, I just don't think the police station scene would fly today at all. That said, I think they get quite a bit of credit on this one because so much of the violence is going to be directed at machines.
chippa13 1844 Report post Posted May 18, 2009 Clean up the language in the interrogation video and some of the blood spatters and you're good to go.
Law Goalie 147 Report post Posted May 18, 2009 Some of the surgery might be out too. There's a guideline about self-mutilation, I believe.
Aussie Joe 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2009 Still... PG-13. Terminator?Hmmm, really can't help but feel that the film's rating means nothing in the grand scheme. I have seen some great kids flicks that are G rated. Sometimes the story is amazing without upping the classification.
mack 44 Report post Posted May 19, 2009 Uh-oh. Only seven reviews but the tone of the six rotten so far does not bode well.17%http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/terminator_salvation/

HattrickSwayze 3 Report post Posted May 22, 2009 Seeing as how Rotten Tomatoes gave one of my favorite movies (Grandma's Boy) a 16%, I wouldn't put too much faith in their ratings. Like someone else said, movie critics are dicks anyways. They only like artsy movies with deep meanings.
