Anyone else watch it last night ?, I thought it was great, There was 3 KO's and plus the GSP fight was great considering it went the full five rounds.

Yeah it was good. Henderson just destroyed Bisping, but I didn't like the extra shot he threw at the end when he was clearly out cold. He coulda seriously injured Bisping there. Lesnar clearly has something wrong with him upstairs, and definetly won't have many fans for the rest of his UFC career because of the fact he can't control his emotions. Going up in Mir's face after the fight, get some class Lesnar...

I thought the hand on the throat with thumb across was illegal by lesnar is it not?

Don't like hiM at all though. Can't wait till his ufc career is over

This was the first time I really watched a whole UFC event and I think i'm hooked, I was really impressed with GSP take down abilities.

Such a great event.

It's pretty obvious that there's one man in the world who can beat Brock, and Dana's not signing him any time soon.

The late shot on Bisping, couldn't have happened to a better dude.

Could you be talking about Slice? He's in the next ultimate fighter, that's the only way Dana said he would sign him.

lol no, Kimbo will probably lose to even Wes Sims on that show.

Fedor's the only guy who I see beating Brock.

haha Kimbo?

Fedor would still beat Brock, he is way too smart to let Brock control him.

Hendo KO was epic and Gsp winning is always great.

Gsp vs. Silva needs to happen.

I like Brock. One of the few people who can talk crap and still back it up. Sure after the fight he's a little hopped up on emotion. Even with his interviews for the fight build up at his training center he's a little wound up. The man is scary, powerful, and can move like a rhino though.

Dana White says he wants to sign FEDOR as soon as possible so Fedor can fight Brock. That would be a good battle.

Lesnars good for ratings though, even those who hate him are going to tune in to see someone take him down. He's like a heavyweight Tito Ortiz that actually wins. I hope it does lure Fedor into the UFC, maybe Dana will make some concessions this time.

Hendo's a monster and I said before the fight Bisping didn't know what he was getting himself into. I'd love to see a rematch of Hendo vs Silva for the middleweight title.

GSP is GSP is GSP. Alves is a good fighter, but he needs some more schooling. I bet he'll be a future champ, but GSP has his time right now to shine.

Now I can't wait for Penn vs Florian on the next card

What is the difference between UFC and WWE other than that UFC is basically a sport that involves brawling? There are some great athletes (Lesnar) in MMA sports, but are these guys true martial artists? Are they true experts in their specialized martial art? MMA to me is legitimatized brawling. I dont get the "classy" fighter and loser aspect of these matches when you're basically witnessing a modern day gladiatorial fight for the frenzied masses in Affliction or Ed Hardy apparel. You know the type..

Georges St Pierre probably could have competed at the olympics in wrestling while having an amazing Karate background. BJ Penn is the first American Jiu Jitsu world champion. There's numerous other champions from martial arts in MMA.

It got popular 'cause of guys like Chuck Liddell. It's been legitimized by guys who are well-rounded martial artists.

Chuck Liddell is a trained kickboxer. Lesner was a great wrestler. Nearly everyone in the UFC has a lot of formal training in various forms of martial arts... It's come a looong way since Tank Abbott.

I still think Kole Konrad was a better HWT at Minnesota than Lesnar. Lesnar was huge, but despite his athleticism, he won mainly by virtue of his size. He did lose to a 237lb wrestler his senior year and barely beat him in the Big 10s and NCAAs...Mainly due to a coin flip

And you guys don't really think Lesnar is just like that right?

This is perfect for him. He just turned himself into the biggest heel the UFC has had, even worse than Tim Sylvia, and he was a schmo.

Talk trash about everyone, slam the sponsors, this guy is going to put PPV buys in Zuffa's pockets like it's going out of style.

Watch, with Lesnar as the champ, the UFC will get more viewers than ever before. Tell me, who doesn't like a bad villan?

It's not like these guys are out picking bar fights between events. They are trained athletes in a variey of disciplines, instead of specialists like the early days of UFC which were brutal brawls.

Lesnar has not only polarized the entire audience, but I guarantee you he's painted a huge bullseye on himself for the fighters who do believe in sportsmanship and decency.

Just to comment, I watched the replay on satellite last night and you can clearly see that while Mir is getting up at the end of the fight, Mir is heading straight at Lesnar, while Brock is celebrating with his back turned. If were in Brock's position I would have got in Mir's face as well. Frank Mir talked a whole lot of crap before the fight, while Lesnar stayed one on topic about Mir getting lucky.

I do not agree with him bashing the sponsers, but like has been mentioned in this thread, Brock being hated will put asses in the seats and increase PPV buys. Here's hoping that after Fedor's last Affliction fight he does come in and fight Lesnar.

Does anyone know what they do after weigh-ins though? I was informed that Brock weighed in at 265lbs at the weigh in, but Goldberg and Rogen were speculating that he was probably at 280-285lbs for the fight. How do these guys put that weight on in such a short span of time?

they're weighed 24hrs ahead of time, and usually to cut down it's a lot of water weight, so they take that time to rehydrate

Dana wants him there because he'll be a draw (even if it is a shit show fight)...but, he doesn't want him there...because then he can say 'I told you so...'
