First day back at work since my lil vacation for the msh skate. Found out 3 ppl were fired and i was given shifts. Lost most of my off days, and picked up a few double shifts. Gonna be a long winter shorthanded and busy. The extra money will be nice (new skates maybe....) but its gonna be hectic for the next few months. Not looking forward to this...

We're supposed to get some ice and freezing rain tonight. The TV news says the worst time to be on the road will be around midnight, our game starts at 10:15. A bunch of guys have bagged the game and it's hard to fight the temptation to skate when we're short handed. I would give just about anything to be feeling better right now.

37 deg C last weekend, and this weekend will be the same... come back winter!

Went to a Regional Rep meeting, and the VP dialed in for the teleconference to deliver 'good news' that we're recovering and will get all our benefits back soon... two days later, email from corporate HQ comes out saying that we're still in the shit, so 1) no bonus; 2) no merit increase (that makes 24months); 3) if promoted you get 5% instead of the usual 10-15%; 4) taking away my company car... promises promises.

When we heard the news, we were having a team meeting (just myself, 4 sales reps, and the boss). I said "doesnt make sense that we're all struggling yet we can get promises that are broken 2 days laters, this is really f-ing bullshit". I then walked out of the room to catch up with some others reps in the office.... everyone in the room thought I was just pissed and berated the boss later on for not doing his part.... plus, the boss still asks me to arrange for some meetings in the next few days, while realising that I'm supposed to be on leave for the rest of the year... Take all my compensation and benefits and still ask me to work on my leave days... dont think so mate.

Took that test on monday. I failed big time. And to top it all off I lost the money I was gonna use to pay for disneyland tickets for me and my girlfriend at the casino the other night. I guess thats what I get for trying to make enough to pay for the tickets themselves. <_<

Went into work this morning...no hot water, eight inches of water in the basement ruining about $250 of Christmas presents my boss had stored down there. And to top it all off, we had two power outages within the first half hour of us being open. Wasn't too fun. Now I have my German final tomorrow, and a history department exam on Islam to do tomorrow. Fun... <_<

Went for a light skate today to loosen my legs up after a hard workout on Friday. I end up getting stepped on. I then find out I locked my keys in my car and have to wait at the rink for an hour before my buddy can bring a spare key. Finally get in for some stitches and have to wait forever. I think I was at the hospital for 5 hours all for 5 stitches.

I've had an injured right leg for about 2 months, Ive been playing hurt but took a week off because it was really bad. I was plenty able to play, it was just painful. I tried playing, beat a guy to the puck and spun off to protect the injured leg.. I get light contact to the back and the toe of my skate gets stuck against the wall. Knee and body keep moving right, ankle is stuck going left. *POP* now I'm on crutches, again. Last time I hurt my knee this bad ended my baseball/football days. Pile that onto everything that has happened the past 3 months for me and well... Life sucks. :-/
