Picked up a pair today and ordered a pair of one100's for my daughter (LHS didn't have her size in).

I will be playing a game with them on Wednesday so I will give my input after that. Although I haven't skated with them yet, it would seem to me that the toe cap is slightly wider as per the comments here. I didn't feel my left big toe squishing against that seam where there is a stitch like I feel on my one95's.

We will see after a skate.

My 8.5D 8090's seem to be about a 1/4 or 1/2 size smaller than my 8.5D TO's. The TO's are also wider. The insoles don't seem to reflect this when held together, but there is no doubt once they are on my feet. In my 8090's my toes are up against the cap and pull off to just brushing it when I stand and bend my knees. In TO's only my pinkie toes brush the cap.

The TO heel seems to be a little wider too. I am getting just a little slippage in my Left (smaller) foot. Trying to figure out how to solve that besides lacing tighter.

At 250lbs I am using the MED insert- probably because I am coming from a 6 year old pair of skates. If I was coming off of a more modern skate I would probably go stiff.

As far as the inside of the big toe rubbing that other people have had- I did too. I solved it by rotating my sock slightly so the seam is over the top of my big toe and around the pinkie instead of evenly across all the toes (and slightly on the inside of my big toe, rubbing on the toe cap).

There are only two pieces of gear that I ave ever had which have made me a better player: one piece composite sticks made me shoot harder and more accurate, and these skates have made me much quicker overall. I'm able to get more punch out of my stride with less effort. This means more energy each shift. It's very much noticeable.

I've put a hair under 8 hours in 6 days on them and do not have any blisters and only minor sore spots. Impressive.

I'm pretty sure that this has already been answered, but is there a retail C/AA boot like there was for the One95 or does a person have to go custom?

The TotalOne in EE was a touch too wide in the heel compared to the One100s that locked right in which was made me go the One100 route. A problem/temporary issue(hopefully) I had with both when trying them on was a bulge in the the bottom of the tongue that puts a bit of pressure on the top of my foot. On the left side it either subsided when baked or I don't tie that side as tight, but the right side is still there.

Something I noticed with the One100s at least was they fit so well and wrap the foot perfectly its kinda tough to tell how tight to tie them or loose in what areas.

The bulge goes away once you work the insterts in. I found the bulge was only a problem with the medium inserts. Went back to stiff last night and they felt great.

I was a 6D in One95 and I went to a 6.5 D in the TotalONE.

So far I can say its the best skate Ive had and I literally had every high end skate. I put superfeet insoles in there as well.

I've noticed this too. Nothing that's had any effect on my skating but still something that I hope will go away with breaking in.

He went with the one100's so his bulge has to be from something else. When I use the x-stiffs and am walking around before the game I do notice that they press down hard on the top of my foot, but once I'm on the ice it's never been a problem.

Ah, my bad.

Last night I didn't have to re-tie the skates on the bench, which was a first. Towards the end I was lifting a little in the left skate heel, but no longer slipping. It didn't seem my heel was leaving the footbed- in fact I don't believe it ever has, there has just been a little movement. I don't want to count my chickens, but it seems I am sitting deeper into that skate now. For comparison this was my 5th skate on the TO's, approx 9 hours if ice time on them.

wow - that sounds strange unless of course you're still growing or had a wrong size in One95?

I ended up staying with the same size in TOs, but I haven't skated in them so I'll find out on the weekend if I made the right decision (before I was thinking to go down .5 size, but now somehow in the same size my toes feel a bit cramped up - go figure)

If anyone has a problem with heel slippage, get them rebaked. Then while the skates are warm on your feet, take your hands and squeeze in and shape the the boot directly behind your ankle bone. I did this on my ONE90s, ONE95s, and TOs. As I had "test" skates, I always underbaked them the first time. When I rebaked the three different models, I always concentrated on squeezing and shaping the heel behind my ankle to increase the snug fit for my heel. My forefoot is a bit wide, although I wear a D, but my heel is a bit narrow. This has been my experience and solution.

I did exactly the same with One95, but with TOs I think I managed to underbaked them somehow (seems like the oven was not that quick to warm up & I only ran it for like 3 mins to preheat :( stupid - should haveb run it longer)

I still haven't skated in them just yet, but it feels like my problem is actually oposite - I need the heel pocket to open up a bit more (since with TOs the liner inside isn't flat anymore & has heel lock built in it as well) to allow my heel sink deeper, otherwise I feel my big toe is a bit cramped up. Is this something a rebake would fix or should I just skate in these & see how it goes?

Skated last night on them and was extremely happy with them overall.

Granted, my one95's are only 2 months old and I really liked them so there wasn't as big a difference going from the one95's to the TotalOne's as there was going from my older Graf G35's to the one95's. They are incredibly stable, like the one95's and you really get the sense that you can get on your edges as much as you want without any worry.

As others have mentioned, they feel wider in the toe cap than the one95's. My big toe on my left foot felt a little cramped in the one95's but I have noticably more room in the TO. I compared the insoles from both and they seem to be exactly the same, so I am thinking the bottoms of the boots are the same but then the tops of the boots and toe caps have been made just a little bit wider? Just a guess, but the feel is very different.

Another positive for me, with my one95's I had a few hot spots that had to be punched out and didn't really ease up until many uses later. One spot on my left foot didn't seem to ever get 100%, but didn't end up being agitated too much.

I had the TO baked only once and not for very long, and there wasn't one area of concern for me in the first skate. No lace bite, no hot spots, no areas of concern. Felt like I have been wearing them for years.

I used the X-STIFF insert, liked it so much I don't think I will change but I may try the STIFF next time just for comparisons.

What a great skate. I couldn't be happier with them.

I don't believe there ever were stock One95 in C/AA. Just C/A (to me that doesn't make much sense - people w/ narrow feet ususally have narrower heels too)

I had to go custom w/ One95 in a C/AA. I am afraid that's your route fot TO as well.

You can check stock sizes and widths on Bauer site at www.bauer.com

Hard to believe Staal's TO didn't protect his foot when PKs blade hit the top of his skate. Severed tendon is the report right now and had a "procedure" done to repair the damage.

Who knows what tongue he had. Are we sure it was a skate cut and not just a tear from over extension?

Sigh, this and that one guy's broken foot while both were wearing TOs weren't a TO fault. I think rbk is trying to convince people these skates aren't strong. Fact is, it doesn't mater what the hell he was wearing, he was going to get injured. I've seen Staal's EXACT play happen to a player who had 40s and the block stopping guards on them, and he still got messed up. There isn't a skate that would have protected him. TOs, 11Ks, EQ5s, G Series... all would have had the same result to the player.

Ok - my .5 after a game & a practive in TOs (~ 3 hrs total):

Pros:

- the liner is amazing indeed. Never liked Clarino for it's slimy feel even when dry, but this one is something else - feels almost dry after the game & no slippage at all.

- I've got some weird bones sticking out on the inside of my feet (roughly where the bauer sticker is) & normally it takes me quite a while to break that spot in - always used to get horrible blisters in there, but not with TOs - got a minor one on one foot, and nothing on the other

- the heel lock has improved due to a number of improvements: new liner + some extra bumpls in the liner similar to S15

- holes at the bottom help to keep the moisture out - when I took foodbeds after the game there was pretty much nothing in there - very nice!

Cons:

- out of the box steel comes up messed up - most definitely NOT 9' on both (probably 8 & 10 or something - big mismatch), plus of course the negative pitch is a bitch pun intended :), so I had to get mine profiled after the practice - helped a LOT~

Issues:

- I tried both stiff & x-stiff inserts, and still not 100% sure which one I like better. xs gives better overal stability & improved energy transfer side-2-side; but the stiff insert allows better forward flex and doesn't press as hurd on the top of the foot, so I'll keep experimenting

- changing inserts: damn it's not easy at least for the first time! Took me a while to stick the xs in! Quite frankly so far I don't see how people we planning on taking these out after every use?! I asked JR for instructions, and they're the same I intuitively used (stick the bottom part, bend the insert outwards & insert the top part), but they're different whom what the bauer suggests on the box (top then bottom).

DarkStar - what was your experience in this regard?

All in all I enjoyed One95 for almost 2 years & coming from S15 I used before One95 I only disliked (quite a bit though) 2 things: the liner & lack of forward flex. These were the reasons I went to TO since they seem to have specifically these 2 addressed. Other then that (it's early to say of course since I'm still breaking them in) so far I haven't noticed any quantifiable improvements in my skating...

when skating in mine i realized a small heel slip, and where the medium tounge unserts went in, there was rubbing and it felt like lacebite. i took them out and it didnt rub anymore, is it better to try stiffs and extra stiffs or just leave them out? thanks.

AFter trying on an EE in total ones and one 100s, the TO's are definitely wider and the heel lock was great! These things were stiff as bricks when I tried to bend my knees lol. Still I had hotspots which probably would go away with punching out the sides..

If you baked them with the medium inserts in they probably have creased and they are digging into you. If you don't have any insert in you are not benefiting from the reflex tongue.

Hey guys,

Does anyone know the difference between the one95s and one100s?

I've skated in one95s for two years now and they're a little banged up. Unfortunetly i'm a size 5 so no totalones for me :(

Is it worth buying the one100s? Or should I just stick with my 95s and make a few repairs on them?

Thanks
