Are cobra holders a +1 then? What profile would be similar to graphs?

Graphs can be all over the place, depending on the information presented. GRAFS on the other hand, I'm not so sure about  I'm sorry man I just had to once I saw it...I know it was a mistake.

so going by memory is this he correct baking procedures?

1) preheat the owen to 200 degrees

2) throw one skate in (no superfeet, no tongue inserts)

3) 1.5 min later throw another skate in (no superfeet, no tongue inserts)

4) 1 min later get the first skate out, put superfeet, put tongue insert, lace up

5) another 1 min later do the same with the second skate

6) stand for 1 min

7) sit for 10-15 mins or until skates cool down

JR - could you please confirm? (I'm not 100% sure on timing for steps 3-4, I recall that the total bake time is 2.5 min, but what was the correct breakdown between the first & second skates?)

Thanks!

Guys could this procedure be done with a home conventional oven as well? Not the specific skate ovens but your everyday ones. I used that instructional on youtube that icewarehouse did for my x60s and it worked great. Im too scared to get risky with my totalONEs

If you just spent whatever it cost you to purchase T1s, why not go to a trusted shop and pay a little bit more to assure you're baking them correctly?

This.

I'm always amazed people will spend so much on skates and then try to bake them at home. Help out your local LHS and spend the money on baking them.

As like everyone else has said, I would HIGHLY recommend that you have your shop bake your skates. Would you get all of your dental gear and do it yourself because it was a few bucks cheaper? Most places give you a free bake anyway. See if you can haggle with them as you just spent $860 on skates. Pay a little now or pay a lot later.

Hi Guys,

Im new to the board and i would like some sizing information. I'm gonna buy TO's and im not sure about the size. I Usually wear a euro size 41 (which is a 8 or 8 1/2 US size, usually I have size 8). I measured my foot size and they are between 260 and 263 mm (10 1/4 and 10 1/3 inch). Kinda depending on the time of day and measuring accuracy. Anyways what size TO should i look for? 6 1/2 or a 7?

thx

Going down just a 1/2 size would mean a 7 1/2 for me, cause i got a pair of Bauer 7000's size 8EE (european size 41). But i think you are talking bout the bauer skates from the last 1-2 years, not those of 5-7 years ago. right? Do the TO's get a bit bigger once you wear them? Especially length wise? In other words is the harder shell still something that will break in?

"try them on! this is the only way to find out the right size for YOU"!

it's very difficult to relate other people's experience do to a number of factors that come into play specifically foot width, toes profile etc

a similar advice was given to me on this board many times before, I wish I'd listen :)

case to point - I was 9D in One95 and thought it was a perfect fit. so I assumed I'd be 9D in T1s - bad idea...

1/2 size reduction was warranted in MY case...

and when I finally got the right size the skate of course felt completely different.

I am gonna try them on. Tried a pair 7EE allready, but i have some room in the toe area. Toes not touching the front. However its hard to judge the right skate if they are not baked. Thats why im asking what in theory would be the right size. I know I have wide feet, so EE is a clear choice for me. But length wise im not sure if i need the 6 1/2 or 7. Also depend on how much more room the skate will give me after breaking them in?

so if the top eyelet on T1s was lowered when comparing with One95 was the second top-most eyelet lowered as well or stayed intact?

the reason I ask is because JR said that as a result of lowering the top eyelet he now lacess all the way, so I'm curious if there's anyone who still skips the top eyelet on T1s?

Question for the experts!

I switched from CCM Pro Reloads to Totalones and after 2 skates it is painfully obvious I have lost a step with them. Especially my first step. Im assuming the issue is the pitch, but the only shop that offers lifts has a 2 week wait. And, they said they goto Home Depot and buy plastic there... Is that normal? Should I make the 100 mile drive to HockeyMonkey/Hockeygiant? Im assuming they would have a little better knowledge on lifts. Also, would a 1/8 be very drastic compared to the CCMS? I wear a 10.5 skate if that matters. Never realized how much i needed the forward pitch to get going. Thanks, Brandon

I have made my own lifts from lexan (that I got at Lowes) and they held up perfectly fine. They were a little under 3mm however, which is what I had before.

Had the same problem when I got one100s. Put in 3 mm heel lifts which did help a little, but I think the main issue was that the boot was too stiff and somewhat hampering forward flex and acceleration.

Well I feel like the CCM Pros were just as stiff right? I think not lacing the top 2 eyelets gets me more forward flex. Im gonna take my skates to Anaheim Ice Thursday to get done by the specialist there. Heard he does great work. Also I think im gonna go with the 3mm.

Also im noticing that there might be a little too much volume in the boot. Someone told me to leave the stock insole in and put the superfeet over it? Anything wrong with that?
