I really like any of the Nike/Bauer Vapor gloves, much more so than the newer Bauer Vapors. Maybe not the best protection, but loved the fit.

After having crappy NikeBauer low end gloves for the first few years of playing I upgraded to TPS R8 pro returns. Thought they were massively better. Recently bought Pro return Mission L7 Pure gloves which was my first nash palm and thought the feel was way better (not to mention narrower) than the TPS. Also bought some Eagle PPFi gloves, which are now my favorite by a long shot.

I've gotten more hand bruises, broken fingers, swollen fingers from the vapor series than I can count. Every time I wear a pair something happens. Any shot thats come off my 40's has resulted in a hand issue. Most recently I took and ECHL'ers snapper off my knuckles and they swelled up purple. Took a shot from the same guy a week later off my franchises and just a little red mark on one knuckle.

FWIW this guy's shot cracked one of my pairs of Jofa shins (lower part).

Maybe I shouldn't park in front of the net when he's wheeling, eh?

+2 on the TPS R8. Excellent mobility and protection. You can roll your wrist at any angle and not have the cuff hinder your movements. Looking at the Vapor X60's next.

Probably 5 or 6 years ago, but I wasn't playing regularly and the palms were gone in no time. I just kept wearing them despite the fact. Cool looking gloves, but that's about it.

No break-in on my X:60 Pros, they're the same as the day I bought them.

I like knit gloves. I throw mine in the wash and let them air dry. The palms get softer and it keeps them nice and fresh.
