Anyone watched the cartoon series of Avatar: The Last Airbender?

Anyone excited for the live action movie of it. I'm no kid, but I found the show very entertaining and fun to watch and just hope they dont ruin the movie, as I have much invested interest in the storyline.

I won't bother guessing what kind of rock you've been living under but he is a director who made a big splash with the Sixth Sense and has been trying, unsuccessfully I might add, to catch audiences with another twist for his last 5-6 movies. That said, I did enjoy Unbreakable.

The movie looked intriguing, but with an M Night twist on what seems to be something that won't translate well to live action I see another Dragonball movie. And yes, I saw Dragonball just to appease the 7th grader in me.

I really enjoyed the Dragon Ball movie. I thought it was campy and funny just like the original series. Not too sure about this one though. Looks pretty sick visually but I have never seen the show.

that movie was horrendous. I used to follow the TV show and such when I was younger.

anyways. M. Night Shubaadubbaa has good movies. He's been going downhill though.

I had an invested interest in this film and although I heard poor reviews and all, I neglected them. 5 min in the movie, I knew it was all true. Those who have watched the tv series and even those who haven't will be truly disappointed. Poor dialogue, transitions, acting, and even the action sequences and effects. I could hear the ppl in the crowd asking what is this?

I thought it might have potential, then I saw M Night Shamalamadingdong was involved and I figured he would screw it up.

My 5 year old son started watching the Last Airbender animated series on Nickelodeon. In passing my wife and I would see bits and pieces of the show and got completely hooked. We ended up watching every episode, in order, from start to finish. There are 61 total episodes over three seasons. The show is epic. My wife and I are both 36 years old and we were completely enthralled with the show.

As far as M. Night goes, I'm a fan. I've read a lot about him stealing his ideas from other books, movies, etc but I loved Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs, shit I even liked Lady in Water and people HATED that movie. I have yet to see The Happening but based on his other stuff I'd say I'd like it. I'll have to get over Marky-Mark being in it.

I found it average. I was expecting a bit more, but I wasn't completely turned off it. The acting and deliverance was bad at times, but it was bearable. I'd give it a 5/10, and hope the sequel will offer up a bit more.

loved the source material. but this movie was utter garbage. i almost walked out twice during the movie.

btw, avatar fans, there's another series coming from the creators called "Avatar: Legend of Korra" it takes place a hundred years after the last air bender story arc. http://avatar.wikia.com/wiki/Avatar%3A_Legend_of_Korra
