That's Nate Thompson. They are actually flopped tongues but he tapes them down at the ankle which is why they look like that.

I can't find any pictures of last night's game, but I was at the Bruins v. Caps game last night and Blake Wheeler looked like he was wearing some sort of new Bauer Vapor skate, maybe the APX's?

Wheeler is supposedly in CCMs this year. I would expect that anyone wearing the next Bauer skate are wearing it dressed as a current offering.

In last nights Soo Greyhounds vs. Windsor Spitfires game, Vern Cooper of the Greyhounds (sorry can't find a pic anywhere) was sporting some of the new Easton EQ5 skates, but with white leather and the sides appeared to be a very light grey/silver colour. Wish I could find a pic, they were pretty sharp! A custom job I assume.....

Not sure. They made a point of mentioning it last night on TSN, so I thought it was new.

He was using it late last year... I remember mentioning it since I was looking for a pro-stock version of his wood stick (I went on a wood craze for a while).... Thought some may pop up since he switched to composite.

Any of our pro shop guys have any idea when CCM is going to release they're new line of gloves (or re-labeled mits) we've been seeing the NHL since the playoffs and in the photos on the previous page? Thanks guys!

my guess is april for bookings, having not seen the new gear though i can't comment. much overdue though imo. same with their nhl logo on helmets.

I had heard that pros were going to be wearing Bauer's next offering this season, early name is APX or Apex but we all know how many times that can change between now and retail next year.
