new cage?

I like my Bauer rbeviii. Fits in between the large and medium 480. I like the white inside and black outside as well.

I got a new cage a year and a half ago. I didn't (and still don't) know much about cages, so I found the cheapest one laying around at the local shop.

Turns out I got the Chrome 480. Good choice I guess. lol

Sorry meant to add that the 9500's feather weight makes it the only cage that I've tried that works with my S19 helmet.

I'm not the OP, but I upgraded from the 8500 to 9500 (now 9900 I think) because the 8500 was rusting. There was a big difference though, the 9500 was chrome instead of matte, had thinner bars, and was noticeably lighter in weight. Like wearing no cage at all IMO.

The 8500 is still a nice cage though.

That's one more plus for the 9500, chrome doesn't rust (or at least unless it gets chipped).

Didn't like the 8500 because one of the wires ran right across your eyes. I use a 9900 (dunno if it's the same as the 9500) and it's lighter for sure.

I also like the 9500 - great cage, but with bauer now owning Itech, I'm hoping they'll make a version of the 9500 with the i2 white paint. I find I pick the puck up easier with the contrast.
