Has anyone used the Harrow pattern 10 enough to give a review of feel and blade stiffness? I want to give it a try.

I have a 2 piece setup on the way with the pattern 10. Hopefully it arrives by Friday for my game that night. Will throw up some initial thoughts after.

Played first game with the Harrow last night. Nice puck feel, puck really jumps off the blade on shots and does a good job receiving hard crisp passes. Overall I'm very impressed. Ovi's curve is quite fun to play with, gets everything upstairs in a hurry. My attempt at a nice saucer pass to the front of the net off the side boards went a little high and wide and tagged the goalie in the mask. whoops.

No, but with previous sticks I could loft it over the d for a nice tap in. Tried to do the same thing and popped the goalie in the mask.

I love it! I was puck handling in the garage with the pattern 10 yesterday and by only using the toe wedge I was throwing sauce passes about four feet but two to three feet in the air! I can not wait to try it on the ice.

I had ordered a bunch of Harrow 2 pieces 300 grip shifts and blades for myself and teammates end of summer 2010.

I quickly dropped my Easton synergy ST OPS for my Harrow 2 piece... I love the feel. My shot was wicked at first but as I broke in my stick I found it to be a little soft. So I used a stiffer one and it was great (I had an extra one waiting that was stiffer as I had heard there sticks were softer than easton's same number rating)

Anyway this ain't suppose to be a review so I just wanted to point out that they have a Pattern similar to Coffee (close to Zerdhev) in their Blades line. They rate it as a Mid curve, but it's close to a Toe in my opinion... My buddy was looking for an Amonte like curve and liked this one. So it could be an option for ppl looking for a big curve.

They're decent priced and have sound feel.

I don't see how Coffey curve is anywhere close to Zherdev/Kovalchuck...

on a subject of big toe curves, I was watching a recording of a 1990 game between the Flyers and CSKA where, in a second period, a forward of the Soviet club was called up by a referee who took him to the bench and pulled out this tool to measure the blade of the guy's stick. The freaking thing was a huge banana! They confiscated the stick and game the Russians a penalty. The forward's name was Davidov. He was one of the best on ice. well, him and the young Federov, of course.

me neither. He's talking about pattern #2 which is similar to a ccm thorton. Doesn't resemble a toe hook at all like you said

I am not sure if it is the shaft or the blade, but I can not consistently shoot hard with the pattern10 Harrow! I love the feel, but that curve matched with that flex is bad. I really feel comfortable stick handling with the blade and curve! It is mated to a 100 flex 11k tapered shaft. I just put the pattern 11 in an eq50 and that feels amazing to me at full length with 3 weights in the grip! They should be marketing this shaft better!

I've used the Harrow Pattern 10 for three sessions now and I'm really liking it. I have it in a TPS R8 Lite Whip Flex shaft. Those comparing it to the P92/Sakic are not far off. I was a P92 user previously (Harrow 300 Pattern 6). Comparing them side-by-side, the curves look similar, but the P10 has more of an open "twist" at the toe. It creates kind of an optical illusion, because clearly the blade is more curved at the toe than the P92/P6.

Stickhandling is really nice--it feels like the curve is somehow "guarding" or cupping the puck. It makes me feel confident that the puck is not going to roll off the blade at any point.

Passing feels the same at with the P92. Saucing it high is a bit easier due to the toe being more open. Not really a big part of my game, though.

Shooting--snapshots are INSANE with this curve. I have definitely gained velocity and accuracy compared to using the P92/P6. Btw, I consider a "snapshot" to be drawing the puck forward and striking the puck with a snapping motion, as opposed to sweeping the puck with no impact (which I consider to be a "wristshot"). In terms of wristshots, I've had to adjust my shooting style a bit, mostly to compensate for the rocker, which is more extreme than I'm used to. So now I start my wristers closer to my body than before. Shooting low with velocity is a little tough, but I just focus on feeling like I'm keeping the toe of the blade on the ice and that works fine.

Really the rocker is the only thing I'm having a little difficulty adjusting to. Its caused me to whiff on a few passes, etc., but I just need to make the adjustment of keeping the puck a little closer to my body, which I prefer anyway.

Bumping this back up. Went to my local LHS and picked up some Total One Pro-stocks with the ovi Curve pattern. It looks like the same pattern and lie from my Zherdev S19 (posted earlier in this thread) but an 87 flex instead of 80. There is no tag on the name plate just the code seen below. Appears to be a One95 with T1 paint, which i actually prefer :).

Where on earth is this shop? Wish I could randomly go pick up Ovi curve pro stocks.

thanks. I'm in CT, there's a few in the area that sporadically carry them, the S19 was from Wesco who usually supplies them... the T1 was custom ordered by a diff LHS thru their pro rep.

About being all gone, 6 were ordered. I bought 2 and i believe someone was coming in to buy the other 4... so you're probably right :P

Once you get used to this curve, there's no going back haha.

I agree! I hated it at first. Once I got used to it everything else seems wrong!

I was at Hockey Experts (the Sport Chek related store), and I saw a Warrior Bandito (standard blade) with a Gionta curve. On Warrior's website for 2011 they have DD blades (tapered) with Gionta curves, but there were none at this store.

Is there any place in Canada where you have seen Warrior Gionta DD blades?

CCM U+ 10 Senior Ice Hockey Blade now has the Crazy OVI curve in std blades

Anything similar for tapered blades?
