used mine tonight

shaft is definitely a different feel, more boxy but not like a total one which i did not like the feel of

shots are crazy accurate from s17 -> s19 i noticed a positive difference with accuracy , i noticed the same with s19 -> rs

the puck feel is also very good, definitely noticable over the s19. overall very pleased easton does it again

1000 for some sticks? Maybe hes loaded ;P

Im definetly getting one aswell

Probably. NBD, I just can't jusitify buying a stick that I will probably break within a month, to get another (through warranty) and drop $275(shipping+tax). I am hoping that they price drop the S19 quite a bit.

Well, I think with the other companies joining the party up around the $250 mark, it looks like they'll hold the RS up there instead of the drop we saw in S19 pricing from $239-249 to $219-229. Some places already dropped their S19's. I know that No-Icing was selling them for 50% off earlier this summer.

Interesting to see they have 115-flex RS's for pre-sale on Pure Hockey...

I ordered custom Warrior's, so I am trying to prevent from looking deeper! Easton doesn't have a pattern I like anyway!!!

PS - Total Hockey has S19's for $199.99 in-store. I believe Easton still has the $229 set advertising rate for dealers, but that should go away soon.

I have a generous self provided hockey allowance.

Looking forward to getting these twigs in my garage. One hell of a stick.

Pre ordered 2 from IW. Should be here Oct. 4th. At least that's my guess. They say shipping on Oct 1, a Saturday. I doubt that is going to happen.

And yes, i would have loved to buy from a LHS, but that's a different discussion.

Yah sucks how expensive they will be, but seems like its gonna be a pretty nice stick. Ill get one and start with that ;)

hopefully it lives up to the hype.

Of course they aren't allowed to ship to Europe

Since S19's are still 290€ here I expect RS to end up well over 300€. Gotta find a way to get one from US.

I am looking to order an RS. I normally use to an 85 flex SE16 Zetterberg. I got to try an 85 flex S-19 and a 100 flex S-19. I liked the S-19 100 flex better. The 85 flex just didn't feel the same as SE. For those who have tried the RS is the 85 flex similar to s-19 85 flex? I saw where some thought the 85 flex was stiffer and where some thought the 100 flex was whippier. I am trying to decide which flex to get.

Coming from someone who disliked both the S-19 and S17, I must say im impressed with the RS so far. cut 1.5-2" and still feels like an 85 flex. Wrist shots are very quick, though im still working on the finer points of slapshots with such a light stick

For you guys already using true RS sticks, what can you say about the new shaft profile? Easton claims it is the same profile that 95% of their pros use.

Some here have said it is much bigger and boxier, but IW's review states that it feels just a bit narrower with flat sidewalls and slightly rounded corners.

I completely agree with IW's review. The shaft walls on the RS are definitely flat with rounded corners. It is perhaps a touch bigger profile than the S19, but not much. I was never that big a fan of the S19 for the simple fact it just felt too small in my hands. As an aside, I don't know how anyone could term the shaft profile on the RS 'big' or 'boxy'. They aren't using a true RS if that's the case.

As for the performance for the RS, I think it plays similarly to the S19. Wrist shots are super quick release, and the feel on making and receiving passes is top notch. The stick is very light, and exceptionally well balanced. If I had one knock, it would be that the stick is too light for my personal preference. That is NO slight on Easton OR the product itself at all. I'm just accustomed to stick weights in the Dolo class. Nothing that playing more with the stick won't fix.

I've only been using mine for a few days, so take that into consideration.I am playing in a tourney this weekend, and plan to use it more.

I love the feel of the stick, but I just wish they had a grip option similar to that of Bauer. Easton's grip version is a bit too much, but a cornered precision grip would be perfect; this way you have the same smooth feel of the non-grip, with just enough friction along the corners.
