Finally some info on the APX stick. http://blog.icewarehouse.com/uncategorized/bauer-vapor-apx-hockey-stick-review/

Looks like they've given up on the "crisp" Vapor blade feel and are just going to try to recreate the Supreme blade on the APX.

Dang! I was hoping for a stick with the shaft profile of the X:60 but the mid flex of the TotalOne. If Bauer could make this happen I wouldn't have to stare at my sticks and wish they would have a baby.

Wow, $250 for the stick!? Rising prices suck. $210 for the x60 was enough!

My thoughts exactly. <<<This guy is going to be buying some X60's though. Hoping for a nice pricecut.

Slim pickins my friend. I know a Local Shop in Illinois called Gunzos usually has a decent selection when new models roll in but they never mark them down. I asked why when the Total Ones came in that the ONE95s were still $170 and the guy told me because someone will still buy them. -_-

Also because even though a new model is released that does not change the cost of the older model and if it's a small shop they would keep it at that price hoping for that one person who would pay original retail for an older model stick.

It's not an X60, but I just picked up an X50 in my preferred flex/curve at my LHS for $99 (may not seem like a crazy deal in the US, but sticks are more expensive in Canada, they rarely go on huge sales and X50s used to b $200 here). The most popular sticks retain their value very well and shops won't mark them down too much, but if you're willing to be a little more flexible with your model you can find much better deals.

That's a very nice deal! Yeah the prices out there are bonkers. I remember getting a Easton Grip and the Z-Carbon blade back in the day and it was $230 up there if I recall. I'm not sure if the shop does that around here. I guess these are the times you confide in Total Hockey.

I fully agree, most LHS can't price drop their product when they bought it months ago. I'm talking about online probably. Usually HM or some other shops will price drop the top line of skates and sticks after a month of two of the new model being out.

Look at the X60 skates vs. APX skates.

250 bucks for the Bauer APX is definitely starting to push it in terms of a price for a hockey stick. By the same token, though, I don't mind paying that much if it's THAT much more of a stick. I have no idea whether or not there's any truth to the benefits of carbon nanotubes although I've heard some pretty good things about the Easton Stealth CNTs of old. If it improved the stick's durability in tandem with the dollar amount invested, I'd like to think that the purchase was worthwhile. The Vapor shaft paired with the Supreme blade was at least enough to get my attention, anyway.

And while I can't quite fathom something like the Vapor shaft having the flex properties of the Supreme shaft, I can't help but wonder what changes, if any, we'll see from the MyBauer stick customizer in the next year or so since Warrior is poised to try and steal some of their thunder.

Just some brief thoughts from SJ impressions:

- out of TO, RS and APX the APX was certainly my favorite

- really enjoyed the APX feel, much more so than TO, but I generally prefer a more traditional composite feel

- very well balanced and super light, but not to the point of feeling frail

- noticed some pretty explosive shots with a very smooth release

- overall from the TO, RS and APX; I still preferred all-around my Savoy Special's attributes

In Canada $250 for a stick is pretty cheap. Total ones are like 280 and S19s are like 300.

That's the American pricing, expect the APX to reach that ~ $300 point

Did Reebok bring their new stick?

Product manager said it was going to be there, but the rep said the other sales rep didn't want it to be shown. Yeah, wasnt happy about that.

2009 or 2008 Warrior Dolomite $290

Skates all have 200% markup at a minimum
