Well, no one produces those silver sticks in the weight, flex, and curve of actual players that members may actually desire to use. I don't find it ridiculous at all... if you we're looking to avoid the hockey equipment whores, you've stumbled on the wrong funnyfarm.

That's funny you say that and it would make sense, however... A week or so ago was Mike Knuble's 1000th game and George McPhee presented him with the silver stick at the beginning of the game (the team gave him a Sea-Doo, too, which I thought was cool, but I digress...). I SWEAR that I heard McPhee say (barely audible on the TV broadcast) to Mike that they made it with his actual pattern.

IDK if that's right, but it would be pretty cool if true. Not that anyone would use it, but still...

They most likely took his stick to make it. I'd assume they do that in all cases.

Really? Just remember that they are able to "participate" because we care enough to watch. No one wants a stick I used last year playing pond hockey with my buddies.

Really, so something that a player has earned thru years of dedication, hard work, and perseverence is the same thing that you are entitled to because you bought a ticket. Today's sense of entitlement is astounding.

if the goalies for the Rangers wear retro color pad/gloves, I wish the players had the same old school tan gloves. It wouldn't match the red/white/blue uniform but would add to the vintage look. Just my 2 cents.

They do...well, some of them. Some are wearing their standard gloves, but I've seen some tan cuff rolls in 24/7 as well as pictures of the practice.

I too have noticed this, but when your claude giroux, you dont even need tape, guy is an absolute stud dangler

i cant say enough about how much i loved the flyers classic uni's.. i know alot of people werent big on them but i absolutely thought they were awesome, and would love to see them work these in and 3rds next year IMO

I liked that the rangers did the navy helmet , the same way the caps did red last yr. Ive seen the caps wearing the white helmets with last yrs classic uni's ( this year as their 3rd ) , and it does'nt look as good as the red. It'd be cool if all teams went with one helmet. kinda like the international games. Canada's blk helmets look great with red or white. U.S. white looks sweet with both jerseys , chek blue , russia red , etc...........

I do not know if it had already be mentioned, but I heard on the CBC feed of the WC that Lundqvist is using the new T1 Customizable Goal Pads.

Best part was when the other announcer calling the game commented that "all the hockey dads and moms are cursing you for making their kids want these new 1500$ gear"
