CCM P92/Bauer P92

Just wondering what the differences are if any. I'm using both a CCM p92 but I have to switch to Bauer so I'm wondering how I can make sure I get the same blade. Thanks

In my opinion, the main thing you need to worry about is getting the lie you like.  I use the P92 (or the 19 other things other brands call it)... from one to another, they are all close enough that that you'll be fine.  However, if you're accustomed to a certain lie and the next one is significantly different... that can bugger you up.

Is the CCM p29 and Easton E3 the same lie?

P29 is a tad lower than the others and in my opinion it's not as open.

P92 has just a bit more toe than the E3 and W03.

 

I can use the P29 and P92 just fine, but for some reason I can't get consistent shots with the Easton / Warrior versions.

Right where the heel starts the P29 is lower, but at the toe P28 is lower.

Compared to a lot of the E3-P92 type curves, that's a significant bit.

I found the W03 very difficult, so I've been trying to avoid it when looking for new sticks.

P19 is very close, same curve and loft but around 2mm lower lie by the time you get to the toe and the blade is a couple of mm shorter.

P19 = 12mm heel mid

P29 = 19mm mid

I hated the P19. Of all the Sakic variations that one has been the least suitable for me.

P19 is 16mm mid versus p92 1/2" mid toe. In theory the P19 is 4mm deeper but put the 2 curves side by side and they are near to identical except length and lie. Pic is poor but you can see the track of the bottom of the blades is the same.

Since I own both, the P19 is a straight up mid curve and it's not nearly as deep as the P92, which is more a mi/toe. The W03 is an exact close of the P19. There may be some subtle difference in the lie, but the curves themselves are identical.  

The P29 falls somewhere between a P92 and a P28. If a P92 & P28 had a child it would be a P29.

It seems like of all the manufacturers, Warrior tends to be the one that deviates from the "median line" of each curve the most.  The W28 starts later than other comparable X28-style curves, and it drives me absolutely batty when trying to shoot with it.

Is W03 a clone of X92? I struggled with W03 and have avoided what I thought to be its clones (P92/ X92) but if these aren't clones then maybe I'll give X92 a chance.

The W03 is NOT a P92 clone. Both are considered deep with an open face so there are some similarities.

I've only used STX for lacrosse (Steel shafts - hooray!), so I'm not sure.

For me, W03 and P92 are pretty much exactly the same. At least close enough that there's no practical difference. I own over 20 sticks with those curves and curve-wise shooting with one is exactly like shooting with the other.
