skating in Bauer 8090 and Vector Pro's right now, but I want to give the KOR skates a try. Tried them on in Vegas and really want to see how they do on the ice. I don't like a lot of the new really light stiff skates even though i end up using them, so it will be nice to try something different.

How can you skate in 8090's and Vector Pro's? They fit two completely different foot types, 8090's fit me like a glove but I can't skate in CCM's for more than 10 minutes without severe arch and metatarsel pain.

I don't know...for my fairly normal foot type (narrow heel, moderately wide forefoot, medium arch) I don't think the Vector Pro is that drastic of a difference compared to the 8090 - unlike the Pro Tacks which didn't feel good on my foot at all.

Of the skates I've tried on over the past year though, none feel as good as either the 8090s or 703s. I want to like the S series from Mission, but the forefoot area is just a little too tight/narrow for my taste (haven't tried a EE yet, but then I'm afraid the heel will have too much room)...hopefully the L series is a tad roomier as those look pretty nice.

Size...two different sizes (11.5/11.75) and E width

I want spinners in place of the S500 logo...

Niceeeeeeee, you know you can get shoe spinners? i'm sure that you could find a way to but those into your skates.

I'll be honest, my V-12s fit me very well (which those of you that know me know this is no small feat), so I have absolutely no reason to buy new skates.

Having said that, I'm really dying to try out the L7s or the Synergys.

Always been a CCM guy since my feet are pretty wide, so I picked the Pro Tacks. The XXX's are probably not bad either but due to the feet Bauer has never really been an option to me, although they're probably wonderful skates technically speaking.

And what's the Kor skates? Never heard of those before, is that a brand? Or is it short for something? The name just doesn't ring a bell for me.

What is so great about the XXX verse the XX? A different liner, outsole and fade graphic? There is nothing really new about this boot...What happend to all of the people who said they would never buy a pair of XX again?

To paraphrase Nigel Tufnel

I agree about the XXX...I think the black fade is attracting people more than actual upgrades. I guess those who liked the xx will like the new boot a little more...personally I like the initial feel and potentially more durable 8090. Can't wait to try on the L series though.

I am thinking Great White G35's, as my dream skate..

Also the XXX interests me, obviously, but after my XX's breaking down in 3 months, I don't know if they will be.

I got the vector pros for free, so i just use them to coach in so my feet don't smell after coaching. I like the bauer 8090 better

It looks like Parise can't make up his mind:

pariseeaston.jpg

He's wearing Synergy skates at the beginning of the game.

And he switched to his Missions later on in the game.

Nah, he’s just emulating Heatley, who seems to switch back and forth between the SyNergy’s and the XXX’s.

So, why don't you make the XX...Better?

These skates, have THREE Xs, the Xs go to THREE
