The instructions online are for conventional skates that only need to be heated 3-5 mins tops. I guarantee you if u left true skates in the oven with the oven off for 10+ mins, it won't heat up enough. But hey it's your call.

I'm in China at the moment so I cannot see any videos. But you never skate on the first or last inch of the blade. May you get there at the end of a stride or turn sure. But you are not skating on it. As for rounding the toe and heel soon as you do that you move the start and finish f stride to a shorter amount of blade? Just skate on a smaller radius through the middle if that's your main goal and leave the toe and heel except to blend into the shorter profile.

I believe the True Academy videos are more recent than the How To videos.

Ever see Crosby’s stuff? Old and practically falling apart. On Spittin’ Chicklets I think he said his jock is the same since juniors, which if actually kind of gross but to each their own. During I think the last All-Star game they showed him getting dressed and you could see the repairs on his elbows and shoulder pads which looked to be ancient. He said he hates to change gear.

The additional backhand padding came off my Maine AX1 really cleanly:

I ordered some custom Alphas at the end of November, 6 weeks later theses guys showed up. The mesh on the figures and cuff roll almost looks dark grey (which I actually would have preferred) in certain lights, which I think looks pretty slick. The emblem is my initials and number (80 or 8). I do like the cuff on these a lot better than the retail gloves, but I liked the stretch gussets better on the retails. They feel a bit tighter and smaller, I'm hoping breaking them in will loosen them up a little.
