Did a couple photoshop edits of my buddies and I, in the style of Player's Tribune's Elite Snipers 101 Article.

One of my favourite rinks to play in is about 20' shorter and 5' narrower than an NHL spec rink. The only spots for spectators is above the rinks (one side roller, the other side ice) in the upstairs bar. Weirdly enough, the pic of your rink @magnets reminds me of the rink I describe, especially with the lack of spectator space at the goal ends. The main exception is that the silly rink I describe has clear plexiglass. It would make more sense if they used opaque plastic, as the boards nearly butt up against the walls like in your rink.

My number one rule, Heads up! Practice not looking at the puck from the beginning, it's a hard habit to break later on down the track. During this drill try and look 2 or even 3 pucks ahead and try to picture the lines on the ice where you want the puck to go.

That's Ice Hockey in South Australia. I think the rink was built in the early 80s, and the ends of the rink butt up almost against the exterior walls. We have a stand on one side above the benches, and a smaller sheet of ice on the other. When they play National league games here, they move portable bleachers on to the smaller ice to expand capacity, but it's still not much. Unfortunately though, it's the only rink in this state big enough to play hockey.

^ Time to quit the team ;) Bloody emoticon didn't work. No, I said that with tongue in cheek. But it sounds HIGHLY frustrating to say the least.

To all of those with Tuuk's on their Makos for a while now, have you had any issues with those? A colleague of mine has developed some knee issues due to the forward pitch, but loves his Mako's, and since shops round here don't do profiling he's thinking about simply mounting some LS2 since they should line up perfectly...

it all matched up without having to re-drill anything. pulled off the old holders, put in the new tee bolts and tightened everything down.

Unfortunately, our rink wasn't really designed for hockey viewing and has non-transparent boards behind the goals, so that's not an option.

Just picked these Bauer APX2 gloves up for $84 from my lhs. I was surprised because they weren't on clearance at Total Hockey yet, but Johnny Mac's had 40% off clearance so I went there just looking around and found these, and had to have them! Just something to rotate in and out with my Warrior AX1 gloves. :-)

Well, I just lost my starting spot. My team wants me to skate out and have another skater replace me. They need the help on defense. And I haven't exactly been helping them in net either. Of course they say it's only temporary. We have some injured better players, and they say I'll go back in net once they don't need me out and him in net anymore. But we all know how that works. Once the team starts doing better, and they see me out and have solid goaltending they aren't going to want to switch.

Finished product: Replaced all of the t-nuts as they were getting badly corroded. Next time I have to pull them off, i'll be ordering some stainless steel hardware.
