FIRST MSH Summer Jam!

So I've been on a 5 year hiatus from playing hockey after an ankle injury, and when I got hurt I was at a pretty novice level. To ease back into the game, I bought some new skates and paid for an 8-week "Adult Hockey 101" session. Well, when I signed up, there were supposed to be 2 other people in the session with me; however, 3 weeks in and they've both been no-shows. Turns out one guy got injured outside of hockey, and the other never paid, so essentially I'm getting 8 weeks of 1-hour private hockey instruction at a huge discount compared to what private lessons would be.

Had a decent game last night - kept it clean until half way through the second where I had a second rebound tapped in. My team got the equaliser early in the third. There was a breakaway coming toward me, with my defender chasing hard. They tangled up in the slot and both went down, sliding to the net. And I choked. I was worried about two players sliding toward my knees and froze. The puck slid past me and in. I will relive this ridiculous goal for way too long as the one that I choked. Final score, 2-1 against :(

Here's the printed prototype. It looks like grosgrain silk. All of the action lines up and works perfectly. There is much more suspension travel than the Sprungs with a lot more snap. The boot kiss is excellent as is the fit. We already started on our changes and when we're done we'll make one more printed prototype to double check everything, then the aluminum prototypes. They are going to WORK.

Scored again tonight. It's the same goalie that subbed for the team we played against last week. I pretty much score the same way I did last week. I sure know how to make a dude look like a scrub lol
