Went to the ortho yesterday and got some long overdue cortisone shots. I always think it feels weird afterward and worry, but then I realize this is just how normal people feel without chronic pain. It's a grand thing. I do wish this (arthritis) had been caught earlier (ortho's opinion is that this has probably been going on since childhood) but I'll roll with what I have, stay active, and hope for some other nonsurgical treatment options as time goes on. For now, I'm enjoying a respite.

I was part of the roller scene in South Florida in 1994-95, and played down there til about 2001. I'm not surprised. The only reason why roller was big was because there wasn't much ice. Once ice rinks started sprouting up, there was no reason to play roller.

My NXGs when I first got them converted.

Son's new pair first conversion using t nuts. The toes were a pia. Other things i learned: not a fan of slotted screws, but they work great to pull the t huts into the foot bed. Make sure you buy at least one long screw to get the t nuts started. Turned out well. Now he has the same boot for ice as he does for inline.
