In my experience, I've noticed that those who are wearing ill-fitted skates that say "they don't hurt"; their mistakes eventually catch up with them and results in some kind of discomfort/pain.

Oh if only this were true. Over the years I've coached many people who, as soon as they step on the ice, I can see something is wrong with how their skates fit. Later on when I quiz them and have a look at their skates and how they fit, they are in skates that are 1 - 2 sizes too big for them or in a EE instead of a D. Why I ask? "because they don't hurt" is the reply. I know that for us gear heads we have a good understanding of how skates should fit but the majority of people out there (and I'm including people who have skated for years) sadly have very little idea of how a skate should fit. Ergo customs like True are a game changer for them if they ever get into them, they don't have to understand why but finally here is skate that fits them (as long as the measurements etc are correct).

I have no idea what to expect. I've never seen the Capitals get this far in my life, so I guess I'll just sit back, not give unwarranted opinions and/or hot takes about either team, and enjoy the Finals.

I haven’t worn this size in 15+ years. I also found that I’ve moved from a 48R or 50R down to a 42R. Still a long way to go, though.

Sweaty b*stard. According to VH, the liner would maintain better grip over clarino if you tend to sweat a lot.

Made every goalies dream save last night. Guy coming down the right side, fires a pass over to my left. He blasts a one-timer at the net. My right to left is a bit weak so I really had to stretch... full extension... snagged the puck just inside the post pretty much right on the goal line. Pretty much felt just like this:

I spent the past two weeks utterly frantic that I would go to ride time (part of paramedic school - riding 3rd as a student medic on an ambulance) and completely fall apart and end up with nothing to show for it. Well, Wednesday was my first day, and our very first call was to meet up with a FD ambulance for a heart attack patient. We had to do everything on the move (literally: moving ambulance), including starting an IV, giving meds, and getting an EKG. Hell of a way to start off, but I did well according to my preceptor, and I feel a whole lot better about things now. Even having to get up at 4:30 in the morning seems worth it.
