Officially done with the Makos since I can't find them anymore, and I am on the VH train now. Huge shout out to the crew at TRUE for hooking me up with these. Took less than two weeks from getting scanned to having the skates in my hands. Already baked them and the first skate will be next week which coincidentally will be the first time back on the ice since my season ended too. Can't wait.

From my experience, I always shoot better off ice and every stick feels pretty good. I find it's because, everyone is more balanced off skates, and can shift their weight more easily to get more power. In addition, there's more friction, so getting the stick to flex properly is easier, and because there's no snow on the blade, it's easier to generate spin on the puck, so shot comes off hotter. As for shooting with a bare blade. I've only done this a few times at stick and puck while contemplating only covering the toe of my blade with tape. Yeah, it'll feel different. I find tape acts as a dampener. Without it, the puck feels more lively. When the blade gets wet, it doesn't have anywhere near the grip that tape has. But for me, it didn't didn't drastically change anything enough to make me want to not have tape over all of my blade.

I was one of the largest proponents of the Mako skates, both the I and II when they launched. I skated in the MLX before those. Now having gone through each version of the skate on up to the True version I can say that the fit is largely unchanged. Same wrap, some minor changes such as a taller toe box (at least in my case). Basically, you won't have much to worry about if anything at all. Adjusting on the ice is always varies from person to person.

If the Jetspeeds are comfortable, but fit snug then I would keep them. Too comfortable isn't an issue as long as there isn't a lot of slop and negative space. I assume you got the old 2015 models since you got them on clearance. Those should fit a half size down from Vapors; so if you like the fit of the 11.5 Vapors then you should go with the 11 Jetspeeds. The new FT1 line is now consistent with Bauer sizing, but the old line was a half size off. Supremes are built on an E last; so they aren't ideal for narrow feet.

Resurrecting an old thread as I have a solution for when the end of your blade falls apart. I've tried various epoxies and found they were either too hard or would not hold in the end over time. Recently I came across a simple trick for creating a hard plastic type product by using super glue and baking soda (google it). Here's the broken end of my Easton: https://imgur.com/ZOkivQm First I poured in a decent amount of super glue, I want it to mesh with the inner foam and run all around the sides so it has a solid base to hold onto. Then quickly added the baking soda, this is my first layer. Now I layer it, super glue then baking soda until I near the top. https://imgur.com/O4xGI1I Now I change to a baking soda layer and then adding super glue to the top as I want to control the layers and how much goes on. Fill the break to the top, round it off and then sand smooth. https://imgur.com/8kCgWgd Yeah, it doesn't look smooth and glossy like carbon fibre does but for a few bucks and a fix at home, it's hard to beat. 6 weeks later, 10 zillion toe drags, smacks against the boards, deliberately whacking it against the ice to try and get it to break, it's still good to go. Simple, easy and effective. Hope this helps someone out who has a similar problem.

That is the most orange orange I've ever seen. Brighter than hunting clothes.

If they wont ship direct or you can't find a MSH member to help, use a virtual address from someone like reship.com or shop&ship (I know the courier company behind this company). Google "shop in canada ship to US", check the shipping cost for each one, google for reviews then sign up and use it.

I have tried and failed to repair cracked toe tips with bondo. The bondo is stiffer then the blade frame so it eventually starts to crack because it can't flex and give. I played with the very first TotalOne but none since. That happened to be a very nice stick! Different shaft gentry than the Tacks but the blades are fairly comparable,
