  1. The pants section is confusing. The chart says that the T100 is a 2 piece construction, while the T90 has 'extendable zones'. Neither is mentioned in the description fo the pants above, and the descriptions says both pants have a 3 piece construction with no mention of extendable zones.
  2. Nice! Those elbows look like pro Koncepts to me. Love Dougie Hamilton, enjoy those gloves!
  3. Thug life too mainstream lol
  4. APX2 will feature a single density foam core like the X:60, but with better dampeners.
  5. I separated the wrist flap from the rest of the cuff at the base of the palm (you can see the sliver of stretch gusset there) as some pros do, just to try. I'll definitely be baking them with wet hands haha. Not afraid to torch the cuffs with a heat gun just to see what happens either.
  6. Thanks Anthony, just snagged a pair. Going to bake them and probably cut the cuff for some extra movement.
  7. Off to Winners and Marshalls. That being said, I've found some decent used gear at places like Value Village/Goodwill. Those were broken down into parts later.
  8. LOL Why the heck does Winners have hockey gear???
  9. For the price, the V1E is very light and well-balanced. Continuing the good work done on the first and second gen Mako series imo.
  10. Thanks, I will attempt the same with my school.
  11. CIS teams have sales? Or do you simply know a guy?
  12. Fair enough. They're fantastic skates. CCM went all out on them.
  13. why not just get the RBZ Roller Hockey skates??
  14. With the V7, the marketing of that one-below / ~$200 pricepoint as a more durable 'team stick' continues.
  15. +1 I'm interested in this too
  16. We had a couple of those in my shop a few months back. Do you find them to have quite a high lie?
  17. I would've fake tomahawked her face lol
  18. I got a bunch of samples from a former colleague, who got them from an atheltic tradeshow. You can request them from Rogers Corp. directly as well. I removed the foam by heating the area lightly with a heat gun to soften the glues up and simply peeled the layer away. What helmet does she have? Also, any and all tampering with helmets void certification and warranties.
  19. Here are 3 of my Bauer 5100 helmets that I've customized over the past couple of years. This was born out of necessity as no retail helmet even comes remotely close to fitting my head. All are size Large. #1 : This first one was my first crack at doing this, and as you can see, the foams are rather haphazardly glued onto areas where I felt should be taken up and the cuts are messy and jagged. I removed the donut of black harder VN from the parietal part of the helmet as well as the pieces of Hex-Sorb blue foam. I then layered up the occipital area (back of head, as seen) to create my own lock there. #2 : My second go at it allowed me to use some of my Poron sheet samples (I love this stuff) in place of the cannabalized VN as I did with #1. The grey softer VN parietal donuts were removed this time with equal effectiveness/fit. I added/velcroed on a piece of sweatband on the front crown of the helmet to augment fit as well as to absorb sweat. Works amazingly! This is the helmet that I've been using everytime. The Poron has softened up a bit with use (and I assume lost some of its protective value) and the occasional dab of glue gun glue keeps it all together. Again though, cuts were still rough. #3 : This is my best one so far and most recent. After finding the Poron easy to use and comfortable to wear, I decided to use more of it in key areas. The occipital layers are much neater and sandwhich the previously exposed blue Hex-Sorb between the VN and Poron. That front wide sheet extends all the way to the top of the. The dual layer VN parietal donuts were removed in favor of Poron which I traced and cut. Cuts were much neater this time thanks to a simple tricked I learned through trial-and-error, which is to leave the sheets/pieces of foam you want to cut in the freezer for a couple of minutes to harden them up. Much straighter and easier cuts with the exactoknife this time.
  20. I've heard a few people compare the V9 to the SE16. I found that the puck feel was the best part about the SE16, do you think that that's similar between the two?
  21. Yeah, now you'll get a whole cohort of kids growing up now using those curves and being used to them. Easton's response in this case is the result of that I believe. If manufacturers scale back, then that will drive the cycle of kids growing up using only the larger curves. I myself believe that for a kid learning the sport for fun, they will be able to enjoy it more if using a P92 or P88 equivalent, simply because it's easier to raise the puck with.
  22. The Camm. curve and their equivalents never sell well in those sizes. Thanks for the upload.
