  1. I would say that they are very close in all aspects such that you could pretty much go ahead and pick one randomly. However, in terms of my own opinion on the design and fit. I've said before that I really like the APX2, followed by the RBZ and then the 20K.
  2. Interesting, I've never seen it around here either. My absolute favorite was the purple Gatorade Rain, too bad they don't make it anymore.
  3. The Nexus 1000 did replace the TotalOne pant. The 800 replaced the One80 pant. In the pant category, Supreme became a new line with the girdle shell combo.
  4. Based on the sheer amount of RBZ skates and Stage 2 sticks that have been on kijiji over the past half year - I'd say a fair amount.
  5. lol it won't make any measureable difference in market share.
  6. Strongly disagree. While there could be people who would fit well in either skate, knowing the fit profiles of each would not have me compare them with much depth. Heel, instep depth, midfoot and ankle shapes are all noticeably distinguishable from each other for each fit.
  7. The first few employee purchase programs should be trickling in...
  8. Can't stop, won't stop!
  9. The US ladies moved onto Mako IIs with no silver heels. Didn't help.
  10. Hey buddy, why don't you practice what you preach and tell us your personal info? You guys don't deserve to be in business.
  11. Only if you care about aesthetics. Honing has no adverse effect on performance/durability. Talking about the SB Polished of course.
  12. They have their Premium Wheeled and Carry as well as Core Wheeled and Carry. Premium wheeled/carry Backpack styles and Premium Team and Core carry round out the full equipment bags.
  13. A floating sternum spine isn't going to protect you if it wasn't ON the sternum/spine in the first place.
  14. lol they weren't jabs at anyone, sorry you took it that way amiroo I hoped the 'lol' would suffice for 'not being serious'. Junkyard's right... deh39, haha I know, no one missed the point you were trying to make. I don't think you're an idiot LOL
  15. 2 sticks; pretty crazy man. You should see the stick collections of some guys here lol
  16. Don't know, there was no color palette at the time to compare.
  17. Why would they drop the price if they're selling well? That's the impression I'm getting. People are willing to spend more to get better protection and for many players, price is no longer a high concern. Parents and mens leaguers alike will often come up and straight up say they want the best protection. I don't think it's crazy at all, considering top end sticks have been $300 for years and top end skates pushing $900. People are becoming more educated regarding concussions and head safety. And JR's quote on pricing is bang-on.
  18. What JR said. I'm a huge find of high end gear that has NHL-spec shoulders, is streamlined and well-fitting. The APX shoulder was good; nice and streamlined, but the rest of their protective stretching back to the Vapor XXXX days I've always found stiff and hard; unyielding. That's all changed for the better for all protective pieces. Also, I recommend you wait to see the RBZ shoulders. Small changes but a big difference imo.
  19. Fantastic, good write up as always. I'll add a few points here as well: Apparel: 37.5 tech is their big push, especially with performance undergarments as well as training apparel for the weight roomThe unique material is woven within the fabrics and isn't supposed to wash away or deteriorate via UV radiationNew women's line adds a much requested compression jill long pantElite padded uppers and lowers with Flexorb targets goalies as well as perhaps men's leaguers (who don't want shoulders), great addition of the forearm slash guards imoNew Elite Kevlar sock changes color (I found many that were slightly discolored out-of-box, should help with shelf appeal) and adds in 37.5 as well as 10% steelHelmets: I was told an tentative (as always) AUG 15th date for the ReAkt 100Like JR mentioned, sizing range changes, closer to 9900 range rather than Re-AktSkates: Imagine a fat and short 'T' shape for the MX3 eyelets; interested to see if the wax on waxed laces will be strippedColorways: They've altered their color scheme for 'BLU' : it will no longer be the same Royal Blue as before, slightly darkerMight be an aesthetic issue for those doing team orders for apparel, jerseys, gloves etc.Other than that, I'm looking forward to seeing more of this stuff this week. You guys will hear me championing their new Vapor protective line all day, it's much lighter, more streamlined and more versatile.
