I'd wait too, if nothing else because of the constant innovation and design tweaking these things get. When I got mine, they looked nothing like a model only 6-8 months older! -

Is the TC4 a replacement to the TC3, or in addition to? Just so I know for the future. -
Another stinker. Lost 7-2. Other goalie had a 7-0 shutout going until the last 5 mins or so. I just don't know what to do at this point. I don't feel like I'm doing anything different, they just all seem to go in. I've had 5-6 goals in the last two games that went between the torso and the arm. I'm starting to wonder if my confidence has gone so far into the crapper that instead of squeezing like I should be, I'm leaving my hands out trying to be as wide as I can to try to stop a deflection that never ends up happening. I don't know. It used to be that shots from the point made me happy because they meant easy saves. Now, I have no idea anymore. The first goal... well... that sucked. Shouldn't have turned my head. I was fine, I just needed a minute to let the ringing go down a bit.

So there's no dashers in your rink??

No there's not much they can do about weight. -

You can't really make skates lighter. I agree my VH are pretty heavy compared to my old Bauer Reactors as well. I don't notice it at all on the ice though and wouldn't hesitate to buy another pair. In fact, it's about time to replace my original Makos. Hopefully they can do Ladd's color scheme for me :) -

Yea it really all depends on the skater. For me, the 3rd from the top is where I start going tighter, so the 4th from the top is where I'll want the locks. I'm also putting mine on goal skates where it's obviously a very different stride. -

What length are the screws? The screws that came with the lace locks aren't long enough, neither are the short helmet screws that came in the CCM screw/post kits. -
It's been a month and a half since I played pickup. What a workout. My legs and feet were killing me by the end. It's so much more intense than games because there's no whistles or intermissions. I didn't play as well as I'd have liked (especially during the last 30 minutes, which I didn't get because I didn't have my GoPro charged and the battery died) but I was working on a couple specific things. First, coming out much farther to challenge shooters and second, trying to be more patient, not biting on the first move and getting beaten. Regardless, it was nice to be back.

Whoops, I thought I was looking at the Gear Sightings thread and once again playing the "guess what they're actually talking about" game. My mistake. -

What are we looking at? -
Ah, that one. Yea I was actually expecting a penalty for that. Ref was looking at the flying elbow though, I guess.
-
You mean at 3:03? I barely touched him. Paint color is irrelevant if they're in your way. He seemed a lot more in the way at the time than he apparently was.
-
No, why?
-
Okay... here's the real one. Probably should have just thrown away the footage, but the entire point of these is for me to see what I do wrong, and there was plenty of it in this game. A couple of those goals were easily save-able. The first goal I had no idea it even went in (nobody else seemed to, either). The second one was an easy routine blocker save that I just missed completely. Then a couple under the arm that I didn't squeeze hard enough on. We weren't good at all. I was lousy, our passing was crap, and I'm not sure we had a single rebound the entire game. Their goalie earned his shutout, but we definitely helped him by making it pretty easy on him. Bad team game all-around. These guys definitely had some extra motivation after I called them douchebags in the video description the last time I played them. They called me out for that in the comments, and they were right... it was unfair to paint them all with the same brush. I apologized and modified the description, but I'm sure they're still pretty unhappy with me. So... this was their retribution, as self-inflicted as it may have actually been. Running up the score a bit and taking head high slap shots with the game in hand is something I pretty much expected. I did it to myself. Hopefully it's like a guy getting beaned in baseball. You made your point, let's move on. After all, the point of beer league is to enjoy the skate and enjoy the beer even more!

Here's the footage from our game last night. This one is really worth watching, guys.

Lottery balls 5, 6, 8, and 13.

Yea they were pretty rare around here, too. Part of the issue is with how many different fits they had, nobody wanted to stock all the sizes in all those different models. So nobody ever had your size, even if they carried Graf.
-
Mine was the same way. Floaters were huge. Eventually got them in check, and the entire unit broke in a bit. Now I barely notice it. I put on my old Bauer the other day at home just because it was sitting there and it was like I was wearing a padded shirt. Hilarious. I bought the whole W Goaltending series on DVD. I even ripped them and threw the videos up on YouTube (private uploads) so I could watch them anywhere. Fantastic series. Best I've seen yet. I wish there were more.

mmmmm
-
Hmm. Yea or just put an iPad on a tripod. Big enough screen to see while you're doing the movements.
-
Hmm. What I should really do is take the gopro to a stick time and work on movements. At least that way I can get a front and side view of what I'm doing at the same time (I have two GoPros).
