  1. What do you do and where do you live?
  2. For sure, I agree. You still need an edge checker for fine adjustments, for sure. I would think of the alignment ring as more of a starting point.
  3. I've never heard of V-Steel but would absolutely recommend Step either way.
  4. The adapter also has nothing to do with the blade width. It’s there because goalie runners are taller. Not needed if you’re using the new Bauer holders though.
  5. Tongue is the same. I don't care if theres no tendon guard.
  6. Yep, and my statement still applies. If he was given those quotes then that was the store doing add-ons.
  7. They don’t offer any holder besides Step.
  8. LOL yes obviously the goalie runners are different. I was really just wondering if the goalie and player steel was interchangeable. For the RARE time I would skate out (I've been on player skates ONCE in the last 1.5 years, for Winterfest 2016) it would be cool to not need two pairs of skates.
  9. I mean same except for that detail.
  10. Can anyone confirm if the True holders for goalie and player skates are indeed the same (other than the cutout at the toe end for the toe ties)?
  11. I’ve used both and no. The Mako bump issue (abrasion) was actually solved with the Mako II anyway.
  12. Black or white tongue felt, color, and tongue embroidery. Also do you want the step holder or no holder. That’s about it.
  13. In that case I’m totally with you!
  14. Really? Heavy enough to tell a difference? I do not envy those who are bothered by a few dozen grams!
  15. Maybe they bought with the True holder and switched holders after?
  16. I probably wouldn’t bother. The one that comes with it is fine for most people.
  17. Looks like that was a good call :)
  18. That doesn't change how unnecessarily douchey what you're suggesting would be.
  19. That's an important point with VH. You can (and should) be tying your skate significantly less tightly than you're used to. The boot already wraps to your foot - you don't need to tighten it to gain more wrap.
  20. I would suggest not using superfeet. They should not be necessary for a boot built to your foot.
