Yup, and if you don’t specify then they will come un-drilled as I said. -

Mine are all copper. No issues so far. Granted I’m a goalie so I’m not sure if that changes anything. You’d think it would mean a lot of constant pressure on the outside rivets, if anything. Directly through a True rep. -

I assume so, considering I just bought a set of insoles from True for my old VH skates. -

FYI, I got a reply back from Rob. So there's my answer. My skates are almost 3 years old so maybe it's time to start looking at new ones! -

My VH skates were made in June 2015 with Bauer cowlings mounted. Was this before or after the goalie boots started being made with extra protection to allow for a cowlingless holder? I'm assuming that at some point the boots were changed so that they are ALL made with a reinforced boot so they can be used with any holder, with or without a cowling. Is that accurate? TL;DR: Can I put Bauer (or step) holders on these boots from mid-2015? -

These are both really good points that are important to consider. -

They haven’t. They were VH and then they were acquired by True. -

I'm confused by the tongue... is that a shot blocker built in? Or what? -
I worked IT at a university also at one point and I agree. So much better than corporate.

Even the chip wouldn’t be able to stop a 3rd party if they really wanted to. I just don’t see it happening because I don’t think there’s enough money to be made in an already niche market. -
I'm jealous you guys get to have them at all. Using a Mac was a job requirement for me (I would have walked out of the interview if they'd said no) so I'm one of a small handful of people at this fortune 500 company using them. Basically me, and some high level executives. Thankfully they let me use my own so I don't have all the corporate junk on it.

And make sure you use a shoe horn to get them on. -

Switched to a 3/8 ring for my goalie skates. I thought I was going to bail in warmup but quickly got used to it. My stance felt better, my pushes were harder. Will just take some time to get used to the deeper hollow doing shuffles and t-pushes. But overall I’m happy with the change! -

There’s a blade holder accessory for that. -
I had been using a leather chamois but now just use a shop cloth on my black step.

Yeah I pretty much have to do that as well, with the shoe horn. I have a 3' shoe horn I use so I basically just step into them so I can push harder than I could sitting down. I'm sure I look like an idiot in the dressing room. But, who cares if it works? -
