  1. I heard somebody say Washington in 4 and I was like.. wait... what? Come on. Unless Fleury completely collapses there’s just no way.
  2. Doctor in November 2017: “You’re borderline for both diabetes and blood pressure. I could start you on medication now or I can give you 6 months to lose some weight” 6 months later: - weight down 55lbs - A1C 4.8% - Blood Pressure now 119/74 - Cholesterol down 28mg/dL
  3. Sparx doing 20% off this weekend. Seriously tempted to get the travel case I've been dreaming of...
  4. Plenty of times I've poked a puck away but it doesn't make it out of the zone. Somebody just grabs it and throws it in the empty net. Lots of times I've come out to play it, threw it to the side boards or into the corner, and my D are either not there or don't both skating to it. If only I could figure out how to lift the puck I'd throw it off the glass.
  5. I'm with you there. Just finding a skate that doesn't hurt to skate in is enough of a battle.
  6. Yea, this one was pretty bad. Love the one D throwing muffins up into the slot multiple times in succession with absolutely zero power behind it. As for the poke... I just saw that he didn't have control and thought maybe I could get there, but hesitated. If it wasn't pickup I wouldn't haven risked that one.
  7. That sounds brutal! You know about my medical history and it’s not much better, but definitely not the same thing. I wasn’t actually playing hockey yet when I had my surgery so recovery time wasn’t as big a deal. Whats the biggest barrier to your return? Pain? Potential of damage?
  8. I would suggest that a skate made for your foot will always fit better than one that wasn't. The question is whether it's worth the extra cost to you. To add to that, a retail skate isn't made for your foot either. So what difference does it make if you buy a retail skate not made for your foot or a pro stock skate that was also not made for your foot?

  10. Pickup from Tuesday night. Not a good night. Started okay but after the sixth 3-on-1 in a row I finally yelled "can we have ONE shift in their end? Just one!" I was clearly frustrated.
  11. Going Vegas in 6. I think it's just about impossible to bet against them at this point.
  12. Looks like Tampa forgot they had a game tonight.
  13. 175 is my goal, though there’s no muscle mass there. My long term goal is 180 or so after exchanging fat for muscle once I’m off my current diet and can work out again.
  14. Thanks man! I was at 255 mid-February. 206 now. Still another 35 or so to go to hit my goal before summerjam.
  15. 5’8. A 28 or 29 inseam would be better but they don’t have 34/28 there.
  16. I haven’t worn this size in 15+ years. I also found that I’ve moved from a 48R or 50R down to a 42R. Still a long way to go, though.
  17. Can't discount that! I'm sure I certainly have some things I think "are better" despite a lack of evidence!
  18. Placebo effect, I guess.
  19. Does the single tracer really matter THAT much to you? heh
