  1. @markk1If you can, use the MSH Pro Shop. This forum gives us a lot of access to FREE knowledge and people that you can't find anywhere else. That's how I found MSH. Using the Pro Shop not only all but guarantees quality workmanship, it's a monetary way to support this site.
  2. Good game by both teams but TB is proving that they are the better team. It will be interesting to see what offense the Islanders can muster up.
  3. I'm primarily an ice hockey player but have been playing inline also over the last 2-3 years. I will always favor ice over inline but I enjoy the change of pace, less time committed, earlier games and cheaper team fees. If one can do both, I'd do. I wish I did when I was still playing competitive ice hockey.
  4. Yea, I don't think the Flyers would've made it to 7 games against TB. NYI is a good team but I just don't see how they keep up with TB. Last night's game probably isn't going to be the norm for this series but you see what TB can do when they're clicking. TB has the better 'tender, can control/move the puck with ease and can put up points. The Flyers had the better goalie but not the latter two. From a fan perspective, I hope this series goes 7. I just don't see that happening.
  5. Have you used the Pure X +2's yet? I currently have the Pure +2's on my OG O1's and would consider the Pure X upgrade once I get my R1's mounted on a new pair of skates. Regardless, I'm digging the setup!
  6. Dude. I couldn't believe it when I first saw it. I know people pointed out how thin he was but who knew he was battling cancer for 4 years. Dude did Black Panther while doing treatment. Cancer patients are some of the toughest people in the world.
  7. Please stay safe those who are in that area.
  8. I hope that this heighten awareness allows for more people to understand what's going on. Progress is impossible without awareness of the issue(s).
  9. That's a good question. I feel for you parents and your kids when it comes to all of this. I have no skin in the game other than myself so it is easier for me to walk away with the hopes that the 2021-2022 season is "normal" (so weird thinking that far ahead). Traveling increases the likelihood of contraction and rinks don't want to be on the hook for the next outbreak. You're seeing what's happening with colleges that tried to reopen and cases are reported so they close doors again. There will always be somebody who wants to do what they want and "ruin it" for everybody else.
  10. Yea, I'm in the same boat. I mean I have student loans to pay off but I never lost my full-time job (been working from home since mid-March). Stinks being away from hockey but there are too many IFs for me to step out on the ice as a player or an official. Still on the fence about coaching.
  11. No doubt. I'm taking the year off but if I'm up that way again, I'll be sure to let you know!
  12. That's the concern right there. I still remember back in March when USA Hockey cancelled the rest of the season. I was suppose to ref T1 Districts up in Hackensack for 16U & 18U that weekend leading up to St. Patty's Day. The amount those kids travel, there's no telling who they interact and who has what. Let's just hope these states (both in our district and its surrounding states) continue to play things safe. Things are calm now because not much is going on. It'll be interesting to see where things are by Halloween.
  13. I hear you. Those pushing to play PIAA sports, I assume waivers will be decimated amongst participants. I'd imagine hybrid is an option around the Philadelphia area but I don't know enough parents to know what is going on here. I still haven't heard what our high school hockey leagues are doing yet.
  14. What else can they offer though. If you look at the top equipment companies, aren't much more alike than they are different? We have preferences but other than lowering the price(s), I don't know SW can do to differentiate themselves from the likes of Bauer, CCM, True, etc.
  15. It will be tough to go off of school reopening because not every school will physically open its doors. I know the school district is at least starting the year with online learning. I'm more interested in how the PIAA will handle its scholastic sports. Fall sports is right around the corner but who knows how many kids will play IF scholastic sports start on time.
  16. I bought a handful of Verbero pucks when they were on sale and I had brought them to one of my inline games and at least one of them cracked during warmups haha. Maybe I got a bad batch but I wouldn't look to buy them again.
  17. Based on how their designed, it definitely looks like they are foot specific. Blue. The first photos that I took made them seem more teal-ish. They are the typical Marsblade-blue but with a metallic finish. My color balance settings aren't really dialed in on my camera but the photo below is much more closer to how they look like.
  18. That was my go to helmet during my youth travel days haha! I mean I had the Bauer version but more or less the same.
  19. Package came in today just before 1:30 p.m. EST. Looking forward to using these one day (whenever I get back to playing) but now I search a pair of skates to mount them on. I encourage those who can to use the MSH ProShop. I've used it in the past and JR does top-notch work (no surprise there)! Looking forward to peoples' feedback and pictures on the R1.
  20. Yea, this is a result of enough people not taking precautions that it ruins for those who've been reasonable, and in this case, just want to be "normal" and play hockey. Even though I'm not back to playing hockey, I know that rinks in the Philadelphia area haven't been forced to do this yet. Hopefully, that trends continues as it would be a reflection of how people are conducting themselves in public. Unlike individuals, the rinks (or any other entity) has to worry about potential lawsuits and what not. 2020 just keeps on giving and giving...
  21. In the Philadelphia area, men's league has been in session for over a month now. I've removed myself (unfortunately) till further notice. I do have to give kudos to the rinks for putting in the necessary protocols to be as save as possible. Hopefully those participating stay safe and by this time next year, I'll be back to playing hockey.
  22. Main reason is that the players have been isolated from the rest of the country(ies). To my knowledge, the NBA has experienced the same success. Both leagues are keeping their players away from negligence (whether by the players or the societies they live in).
